Haha. Itâs Antarctica

I watch a lot of horror movies and most of them have sheeps and high cliffs over the sea And all of the guys in there says its Scotland.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411267/
this movie for example with Sean Bean and Maria Bello.
A lot of sheeps over the big cliff. Also the movie âRingâ with Naomi Watts.
They all say they are in Scotland.
Just like Gilneas.
na, thatâs winterspring
I think its Syberia. We have tigers in Uldum and tigers in Syberia too.
What would Azsuna be ?

What would Azsuna be ?
Heaven
With all these cool clouds in the sky and skyblue lakes and green grass moors. I want to live in there one dayâŚ
Unfortunately Hollywood has absolutely no clue when it comes to UK geography or culture, or even history for that matter.
Why let real life facts get in the way of a good movie plot.
As a FYI, Wales has more sheep than people, in fact itâs up there with NZ as having the highest people to sheep ratios in the world. (I think Americans get confused between the Welsh and the Scottish)

They all say they are in Scotland.
Just like Gilneas.
Please stop calling Gilneas Scottish.
Itâs incredibly heavily inspired from Victorian England, combined with English Gothic literature at the time. Both my geography and literature parts of my brain want to die.

Aszuna is definitely the most beautiful of the 4 levelling zones in Legion (none can compete with Suramar at max level), even if itâs mostly inhabited by criminals, fish people, giants, and ghosts.

That would explain the old movie from 1981 âAn American Werewolf in Londonâ.
There are worgens in old London.

Funny you mention that film actually! When my girlfriend first played through Gilneas she actually mentioned it reminded her of that film, Gilneas is basically taken out of a Gothic novel or movie.
On the topic of Scottish inspired places in WoW though⌠I canât think of anywhere thatâs been influenced by it sadly, but if we go further out to Celtic British in general⌠Kul Tiras is clearly influenced by Cornwall, and the Cornish are actually of Celtic heritage (Thinking about it, the Thornspeakers being the equivalent of old Celtic Pagans of Kul Tiras adds onto this)
So⌠sadly no Scottish Celts, but Cornish Celts with Paganism and all are available!

What about the new Darkshore? Looks dark and UK-ish to me. Also with the shores and everything.
Scottish enough? Or Welsh?

Yeah Scottish brew everywhere.
And dwarves wear skirts.
Funny that no-one mentions Howling Fjord, thats Scandinavia, Norway to be precise. Also funny that the music in Howling Fjord & Grizzly Hills is celtic-based =P
The whole eastern side of Northrend is somewhat Northen Europe inspired =) (maybe not the troll part thought) xD

Also with the shores and everything. Scottish enough?
Iâd say that geographically it does resemble some of the harsher parts of Scotland, and the dark aesthetic of Darkshore is also gothic inspired. So geographically similar, but not culturally (unless you wanna do a little stretch with Night Elves and Celts)

Oh⌠you forgot about Stormheim in Broken Isles
Everyone in there wear a scandinavian helmets with 2 horns. Its deff a scandinavian zone. Norway, maybe. Or the OLD OLD Greenland.
Dunno, but most of the zones in WoW are UK-inspired.
The place in Val`sharah - âBradensbrookâ also have dark-british theme with hounds and other stuff.
Thats why I like this game! Im an UK and AFC Wimbledon fan. I like the dark, british zones all over the WoW`s world.

Scottish enough? Or Welsh?
Canât be Welsh, nowhere near enough sheep and no coalmines.
Barrens = Kenya (Savannah)
Duskwood = Forest of Dean/New Forest (both in UK).
Highmountain = NW of what was Yugoslavia (between Zagreb and Sarajevo, including the caves).
Icecrown/Storm Peaks = Himalayas/Alps. (But needs more Cowbell)
