was it changed for everyone or did I change something accidentally in my settings because it annoys me to no end that every whisper from every player pops in a new whisper tab. can I revert it to the way it was - all whispers appearing in my general chat tab?
It happened to one of my characters too though I didn’t alter anything.
Yes you can revert it - red ?/interface/social then near the bottom on the left-hand side there’s a drop-down under ‘new whispers’. Change it to in-line and all should be ok.

I did change to in-ine, but it resets when I log in. How dumb it is to change? WHY? It ruined with chat addon. I dont want chat new tab when I get whisper.
It shouldn’t reset when you log in. There’s obviously something else going on. Try renaming your add-on folder and logging on. It’s possible there’s something in one of the add-ons that’s reverting it.
