^ As the title says.
Since 9.0, my whispers went totally bonkers and are now opening in new tab instead of being in-line in chat.
I have set the option back to in-line, worked fine, got messed up today again.
Apparently it keeps resetting to default, which was never an issue before 9.0.
The add-ons I am using should not be interfering with the chat in any way.
Add-ons I have are:
Pawn
Skada
DBM
Is anyone else having this problem?
Another thing is that my friend logged in today and his graphics got messed up again. Somehow his resolution got set to 5k, like for TV screen…even though he sorted his graphics settings out when patch came out.
Ah and…apparently I am not seeing emotes from others in chat either.
Seems this patch broke a lot of things 
try to put a pic to see but they suck.
anyway to fix it Escape> Interface >social > bottom left there is an option says New wisper. you should prolly change it from new Tab to new line

It’s exactly what I did as I stated in my post. But it somehow reverted back again.
I am not sure how or why, but it seems a lot of things are resetting/bugging in 9.0.
Now my emotes from others are gone from chat too… D:
i dont think game itself allows emotes. that must be an addon that is broke.
also for a setting to revert, to me atleast happend if i change something and i get dc and not log out properly. so once you change it, try to log out and log in w/o get dc. if not that help then no clue. just need patient for some stuff. its just sad 15 years later, each ptaches having same story.
Aye seems I’ll have to wait a few days at least for dust to settle.
If not I think I’ll just do a Scan and Repair if nothing else fixes it.

I have the exact same problem. Even reinstalled my computer today (not because of that but it still happens). I have no idea whats causing it and its really annoying because I miss whispers 24/7.
