Does anyone else see white page after your hit play from Battle.net app? I got it since todays patch. Not seen that before.

Since the patch I’ve been having this weird issue. When I click launch I get a white screen with a black box for a couple of seconds before the usual Dornogal login screen and then onwards to character selection.
I’m having no other issues with playing the game, it works fine. It’s just that initial “flashbang” of white. It’s almost as if an extra step was added, could it be a cinematic that fails to play?

I have observed the same white screen in both windows 7 and windows 11, so I think this issue is not related to the computer or the graphic card.

Hello. I fixed the issues by disabling “Optional GPU Features” and “Async Resource Creation” in Graphic Settings. I don’t know which one was the problem, but I know it works for me now

You should not disable these at all , especially not for something that’s not game breaking or any problem what so ever. it does the same here but I can play 100% normally.
You’re now limiting your videocard for no reason.

Same thing is happening to me. In addition to that, once the loading screen into a character is finished, my AMD drivers timeout for a couple of seconds (screen freezes), then they restart with all the textures visibly reloading and I get an amd pop-up saying that my drivers had a timeout out and if I want to report the bug to AMD (which I did).
In my gx log file from WoW, it also says that this happens during those times if it helps anyone: (not full text, since it would be too long)

Both of these issues started with 11.2 yesterday, and they might be connected. I scan and repaired the game, rebuilt game caches, reinstalled drivers and it didn’t help. The game is still playable, however unless I’m imagining my GPU is also a lot louder/goes to 100% frequently with fans on, while I don’t remember seeing that ever happen before in that way in WoW.
Does anyone with the white screen issue get anything odd in their gx log file? It’s under WoW folder>retail>logs>gx.log

I have the same Problems as you, also an AMD Card.
After login to Karesh there is an error and my GPU-Fans go fullblast.
Other Zones are normal as always.

I am limiting my card to not have screen issues and AMD driver crashes and so far I’ve been playing all morning just fine.
I have the exact same issue as you noted. Can I ask when you log in to the character select screen and go into graphics settings can you see its running directx12?
Then when you log in on a character and get that white screen and AMD timeout message, if you go into settings again in game and see if its now auto set itself to directx11 and a message under saying directx12 failed to load?

I don’t know if your question was directed at me but I’m only getting the white screen for a couple of seconds when I click play in the battle.net launch, then it does the usual Dornogal login screen and character selection. I have no issues with graphics or performance after that initial white box.
I can´t believe it, i found a workaround in the US-Forums and it worked for me.
When your Shadowquality is on low, then set it to medium or something. No Error, no switch to dx11, no nothing 
Has anyone found a solution to the white box that flashes briefly when you click “Play” in the launcher, before it continues with the normal Dornogal login screen and on to the character selection?
Happening to me too, Also crashes as soon as im in game .

Same annoying issue. Game runs fine but the white screen upon launch is pretty obnoxious

Same issue, also more freezing and frame drops as before 11.2 patch.
White screen and WQs not completing - stuck at 88% on one - plus Vizier stuck at 0% - fgs what went wrong this time, Im getting off until they fix it.
