Who else avoids MMO-champion?

I remember back in WOTLK hitting F5 on this website over and over to get any little bit of WoW info.

These days I avoid it like plague so that anything new they add is an actual surprise. Anyone else do this?

Otherwise you just seen everything before it gets added.

It’s nice to have no idea what is coming up!

Your character portrait creeps me out.

Good I’m glad it does.

There is a good chance that we might miss out entirely on something because the game itself fails to let us know about it though

I haven’t gone to MMO Champion in maybe 4 or 5 years.

It just stopped becoming useful in my opinion.

Isn’t wowhead more informative?

I usually use that one to look up Obsidian start time, community feast, or info for quests/farm.

The blue tracker is a bonus but I hardly make it a habit of following those religiously.

It is…but the add plague…unwanted forced videos…etc its even worse than mmo.

I check mmo for blue post tracker and thats about it.

At some point I just stopped finding MMO Champion useful. I don’t avoid it on purpose. They had some change of leadership/owner at some point, and I think that caused some dry period which might be why I stopped going there.

Their forums are god awful, filled with mean little schmucks.
Icy Veins are better.

IcyVeins for class guides, rotation,etc

Wowhead for everything else

What is ELSE? They just dig through the game files and post screenshots of it.

Both are also notorious for spoiling the game 6 months before content is released and all writers involved destroy all player motivation to explore the game by themselves.

Everything that is useful is end user generated and often found in the comment sections.

I too make random threads about websites I never visit.

I use it too check up if they’ve dropped any hotfixes.

Staying clear of their forums.

I don’t avoid the sites, I will often avoid the data mining about upcoming stuff so it’s more fun to discover.

I don’t really see much MMO Champ news. Both Icy Veins and Wowhead have discord webhooks that stick the news straight into a channel but MMO champ do not. Or at least at one point it had one then it stopped working and then I gave up. I never did check to see if they’d officially done one later.

MMO Champion is awful. They ban you for every little thing on their forum. But I use it to gain information for the latest content.

uBlock Origins my friend. It’s time to catch up.

I used to read Worldofraids, then switched to MMO Champion. The best source of information is Wowohed, however the number of ads on the site is absolutely insane. I still follow both sites because Blizzard isn’t that infromative.

Not really. Are you doing the same with WoWhead?

Wowhead gives info more quickly, posts interesting charts and stories even on dead days.

The website is clunky on phone and the autoplay ads is pissing me off but mmochamp gotta step it up if they wana retake the throne I guess. Because I prefer the mmochamp over wowhead for other reasons than the news:D Sorry wowhead but your autoplay is so annoying on phone… I sometimes cant even click it away.
