I enjoy m+ since legion. Raiding through the years I’ve stick to 2-3 classes because we decide that as a guild before every tier and I pref monk but for m+ it doesn’t matter what I play. Ive played tons of classes and specs like
Monk all 3 specs
Priest all 3 specs
Hunter SV and BM
Warrior prot & fury
Rogue assassination
Warlock Destro
Mage frost
Paladin holy and prot
Shaman elemental and resto
Druid guardian
I like m+ because its far more flexible than raid. You don’t have a set date and time like wed/sunday night as 95% of guilds, but you can login any time you fancy and play some keys.
I would say m+ is boring if someone insist playing a bad tuned spec for the season and instead of changing char sticks to the same and complain about balance.
I know a player that had 10 alts past 3 seasons for m+ playing some keys up to 20s with each one after spending few afternoons gearing it up because gets bored easily.
Bring the player not the class could also mean bring your X friend that has 3-5 alts at decent but not max geared (maybe only 437 ilvl) with best tuned alt because you know its 1%+ player instead of a random player that is Z meta class and you don’t know that player’s background other than just what io says.
Im not saying that playing alts is wrong. Im also not claiming that blizz can balance classes so perfectly that its irrelevant which one you bring. There will always be a meta, there will always be FOTM re-rollers.
However, I refuse to accept playing alts and re-rolling to FOTM as the ONLY way to play a season (like it is now). Weather its with your friends or not.
People that don’t like to have 20 alts and like to spend their time perfecting 1 class also deserve to play. Maybe I wont reach max level world first keys (probably never will, as im not that good at the game), but I would at-least claim that I did what I could.
Unlike now… that no matter what I do the only response im getting is: Re-roll to HPala. What kind of answer is that?
I love M+, but some affixes are so frustrating that it really waters down the experience added to the higher difficulty. I would be happy with the higher difficulty, tyrannical and fortified and one other affix. That is enough to keep it challenging and not overbearing.
I think the issue is how meta has skewed soo much. Currently looking at the dps list on m+ subcreation: S tier - Spriest, Aug,firemage. Everything else is B and bellow(both mele and ranged). Pretty much every other class is non-existant at this point.
Meta has been before and will always be. Not doubting that but it was more balanced, there were S tiers obviosly, as much as A, B and etc. Heck you could even get into with a D tier spec IF you knew how to play it. Sure it was an uphill battle for an D tier DPS to pug but it was possible. The meta(with an exception of the meta slaves) acted as more recommendations with people still deviating and trying some other combos here and there. The current meta acts as strict requirements, taking anything besides S tier classes feels like you are adding “an extra affix” to the dungeon.
and who is to blame should hopefully also be obvious.
I have never experienced such an embarrassing and lousy performance.
and when I look at the current state of the prot and ret palas…
just give myth+ talants, like pvp, ezpz balanced, without worried about raid, and ez to close holes in balance instantly. Especially talants like dispell and others utility for some specific affixes, who can’t be done with some specs.
They never were though . They were always a joke. Its just that majority of players WHO never do m+ in first place were that bad that they couldnt complete IT.
I mean you Had people in vanilla progressing molten core for months . Imagine how bad they Had to be by nowadays standard.
Well this expansion has shown how to kill raids. The gear upgrade and filtering gear from other sources kill the raid in about a month. No reward no interest. Ever seen a raid fade off the map as quick. People always said they did raiding for the challenges but the fact no one needs the gear proves otherwise.
Me. I greatly enjoy this season. For once, I like every single dungeon in a roster, I like my class and I also like what they did to gearing process. I also like what classes made it into meta, because my class really benefits from their abundance.
The only downside is that my friends didn’t make it to Dragonflight, so I’m only pugging. But still, it was so long since I was so engaged with the game so I would join random m+ group for the sheer fun of it, with no need of score, gear, or currencies.
