Since when are eyes a face? If i wrap up in a scarf and hat with just my eyes out, i sure as hell have my face covered
This kind of etymology is always super hard to define.
Because what if i say this, a person exists, they have a normal body all in all, then a horrible accident occurs, they lose their nose, mouth, eyeballs, and ears, do they not have a face now? What do they have instead, a non-face?
Because if i looked at their empty facial region i would still say they have a face, only that they’re missing facial features.
And then you get into semantics over ‘‘well what is the definining point in wich a face goes to a non-face’’? Is one eye good enough? Do you need do have whole nose to have a face? What if its missing one nostril? Pointless
