He killed the leader of the most annoying sl factions.
Anduinās real sidekick is a tissue, which he cries into! The raw emotions are too much for the storytellers to really put into words!
Grappling with what heās going through and still pushing on isnāt weakness. Itās one of the most realistic, genuine depictions of strength weāve seen in WoW in a long time.
If you look closely at the BFA intro cinematic, he very clearly looks like a young bradd pitt, but if you zoom in to him ingame now with TWW, he very clearly looks like jackscepticeye
so the only logical answer is that SI7 kidnapped the real king (young brad pitt) and placed in a body double (jackscepticeye), probably to create a narrative that actually, the king isnāt GONE gone, heās just vibing with the great heroās of azeroth, nothing to see here citizen move along.
He is supposed to be the King and does nothing but wwhine and forsake his responsabilities and his people who for all we know must be in shambles as they have an absentee ruler.
But hey awww look at his feelings heās growingggg.
Can you imagine if we applied the same standard to our actual rulers?
Trust me us horde players are watching them butcher and botch the writing alliances characters so badly, weāre thanking god all our characters are either dead or not here.
Letting what heās going through control him and prevent him from being a useful person is weakness not strength. Thrall was born into slavery, his parents killed. He freed his people travelled to a new continent and settled a country. Also while helping to save the world from a demon invasion and free his people from their mind control. But yeah go off on how Anduinās had it so badā¦
nah, I donāt trust you on this topic. Anduin really has an awesome story, same goes for Moira. I donāt know any other Horde character except Thrall, whose story is as good. There are definitely Horde characters, who are cooler, but just cuz they appeal more to me, doesnāt mean that their story is good or better.
Anduin doesnāt have a story he whines gives up, and asks other what he should do 10/10 ā¦
Moira, MOIRA!!! they slapped a traitor back into ironforge because we all just friends now I guess. Her plot makes zero sense. She betrayed her people, got many people killed to go be with the servants of Deathwing and Ragnaros⦠She was brought back, and now because blizz wants more girl bosses are just forcing her into the story again and again because unless you played Vanilla/Classic you have no idea whatās sheās done.
Moiraās story is enjoyable, much more so then other stories with leadership weāve seen. But its still alliance leadership and its a hard disconnect to have alliance leadership be buddy buddy with my horde main. Itād be like you reading harry potter and suddenly the characters are breaking the fourth wall to adress you in the middle of the story, itād be weird.
Anduin idk, I feel like his whole ground for feeling bad about the things heās done is just very shakey
He had no control, he was body and mind controlled, why is this man blaming himself,
it is weird. Like heās being made to suffer a crime that is in no way his.
As for being jealous, eh not really, because horde characters are just written differently, or maybe not different enough. I can hardly tell the difference apart between horde and alliance leadership anymore when I see the npcās move about and talk
The problem is they want everyone to be the goodies in modern WoW. What blizzās poorly skilled writing team seem to be un aware of. There were no real morally virtuous goodies in WoW.
The Orcs tried to commit mass genocide, the Humans enslaved the Orcs. Dwarves basically turbo racists, Gnomes nuked their own people. Trolls have this nasty habit of falling to dark blood magic and ritual murders. Night elfs are brutal elitist ###holes. Blood elfs are crackhead elitist ###holes. Of the OG races Taurens are the only ones that were pretty chill.
But now everyone has to functionally have the exact same cultural belief system, gone are the days of diverse cultures, we all must conform to be the good people and be bestest of friendsā¦
I agree. Warcraft is way better and more entertaining, if factions are in conflict. Else it feels too homogenised with lack of friction/tension. Right now I would not feel good at all playing a Horde character in war within. Luckily Iām a dwarf
Gilneas had that with Genn, though I suppose with rage and drool instead of whine, and it survived until someone with a functioning brain was finally put in charge. With Stormwind supposedly being a bigger and stronger nation, theyāll probably survive Anduinās absence.
Still pushing on? You mean getting dragged along?
I like how they wrote anduins story and found it really realistic considered the ptsd like problems he is going through.
If he will overcome this doubts and guilt and accept himself and become a confident and wise king, its much more belivable and good writing than just a ānaturalā strong character.
A lot of criticism in this thread imo is imo unjustified and lacks the will to empathy.
For example someone said Anduin is supposed to be the king and not whine around etc.
You are right! Thats exactly what he says himself even stating that at this point he is no king and the people deserve someone better.
Also someone asked why Anduin is trying to save the world instead of beeing in therapy and recover. He actually did exactly that before TWW. He traveled, did simple handcraft work and lived a simple life trying to find himself again and process what has happened to him.
But he had no choice after the visions everyone saw and in the video with Thrall they did hit the nail to frame exactly this state of him getting disturbed in the process of recovering.
For a king and leader of the alliance he is still very young. If he just had became the big alliance leader without any burdens to overcome and grow out of weakness, he would be boring and feel fake.
I bet if anduin overcomes his recent problems, they will lead his character in a real strong and reliable king in the future. A king that grows into the shoes of his father and the role he was just to young and weak for until now.
I still think there is big chance that the slightly āannoyingā arc we seeing him now will turn out with a character that deserves to be king in some years.
No, I mean pushing on.
Never, because Blizz writers has no ideea about WOW history.
I play TWW only with my A charac., it is weird to play TWW with my H charac. : take orders from dwarfs and help again the alliance. Without the conflict between H and A the game is boring and the story is repetitive : save the world again and again. Unfortunatley this is the best Blizz writers can offer.
I hope good old times will come back so we can enjoy the game. Now everyone has tears in their eyes and say sorry every second.
Literally how do these people not understand this itās pretty obvious heād have ptsd sue to shadowlands
Anduin should just get over it. Iāve been mind crontrolled before, even got killed by my own friends, and iām not crying about it all day.
