Who is bothered by misnaming dragonflights in char names?

Just curious. Because I have seen so many -strazsa that are not red and -gos that are not yellow/bronze (edit: blue -. y/b is -ormu or such).

I am guilty of this so definitely in the I am not bothered camp :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Kalecgos is blue, so I think they can be forgiven for having -gos in names that aren’t black, green or red. I did notice it recently and the thought entered my mind, but I can’t say that it bothered me.

I just noticed, -gos is blue. The bronze dragonflight is usually -ormu.

I only do this when it is a legit parody:

Of course, the whole thing is not really lore-legit because drac’thyr are not full-blown dragons.

It’s hard to be bothered by it when you’ve got people running around called ‘dragussy’ and what have you.

This. In general I’m happy if players don’t give their characters names that don’t fit the RPG spirit. If they recreate a dragon name (even a wrong one), you can say they at least tried
better than the “HĂ»ntarrr”, “Eggpeeler” or other silly names

You’re being racist here

-ormu for male, -ormi for female, specifically (which is why we knew of Chromie’s little gender thing long before DF). I’d be bothered on a really bad day, I suppose, because I don’t even bother checking their scale color.

Oh, but absolutely not! I am calling out misflighting!

Or Legolasormu.

But you have to accept that WoW has always poked fun at itself:

Both of mine are not in keeping with anything. I just went for puny and suitable endings.

I like “Punyxia” because it is self-referential and a sliding double pun.

Quite creative to be fair.

I just went for something that my dude might have adopted after undeath. He wouldn’t have been called this in life, but once he started trying to be the next Gul’dan as an Undead he chose a new name for himself. I don’t RP but I do like to create a little story in my head for my character’s background and name.

Definitely guilty of this too. I just bothered myself. Life is difficult

I have a forsaken warrior in all gold gear (including a fiery halo) with a back story of being a scourged paladin who fell through the cracks and then decided to operate based on his rage over the incident while continuting to pursue his righteous cause.

Technically Dracthyr are chromatic, and have the genes of all flights. So really, they’re entitled to all flight prefixes

Thanks. And it really bothers me that the perpetually borked Armory cannot even render sun shades properly.

Also, so many shirts have a sleeveless variant but not that one where I could really use one. - And the one sleeveless red top looks very unfitting.

Interresting thought in theory, just not matching the lore where they serve one flight, match its color and never have dragon names.
Also not a prefix, because it comes at the end. What would that be called?

You might find some more options for that type of shirt once 10.0.5 drops with the white and grey transmog options. Glad to hear your forsaken is still good after falling .

My warlock is just pure evil (aside from story stuff where he keeps saving the world!).

The word that I think you’re both looking for would be ‘suffix’.
