Did they somehow explained, how Zovaal managed to keep Maw clean of Fel/Void for so much time? All you need is one warlock/shadow priest soul, which would willing to use Soul River for their advantage. There not even a trace of Fel or Void in the maw, which for the “trash bin of universe” is pretty strange.

It’s like asking the question about how did they keep Anduin for so long: needs some food, and bathroom, etc. In the story “it just works” because works.
(yeah, any fel entity would have a feast in the Maw given that the souls are their fuel, but, we have what we have)
