Why did you remove stun DR from cheap shot and made it spammable ?
Who’s incompetent enough to allow this ?
Since I know this person probably is bad at math let me explain the stupidity of their decision.
A rogue can now:
Cheap shot - 4 sec
Cheap shot - 4 sec
Disarm - 5 sec
Kidney shot - 6 sec
and use evasion - 10 sec which is another form of CC since rogue can’t be attacked but at least stunned which can be trinketed.
Gouge for few more insults to incompentent class designer.
That’s 29 sec of what this class designer thinks is ok for rogues to have in terms of CC.
If you dare trinket - you get blinded, which is supposed to be for the healer but that’s after the poor guy thinks about his life choices, paying money for a game with such class designers, after being stun + cycloned by some random druid who thinks he is god at the game just because devs think this is good gameplay!
And the funny thing ? After this 29 sec you have 1 ( ONE! ) second in which to play and after that DR is reset and rogue class designer can show how bad he is at his job again.
What was this guy thinking ? Are they underpaid so they come up with such ideas because they are hungry or something ? Or maybe working two jobs and they are undersleep? Wake up then !
In PvE is all fun and games - mass blind, stun them AI bots all you want, but did you forget this game have PvP component too ? And no amount of your “Make this ability do 5% more damage, this ability 10% less” ideas will fix this !
If you want to make players even more confused, sure introduce PvP modifier to CC abilities so in PvE rogues can stun bosses for 10 seconds because it’s fun for them, big deal. But having rogue stun people for 15 sec just to vanish and do it again and call it a good class design … you should not be working in class design department!
Now go do your job and make what players are paying you for - make the game fun.
P.S. To all rogues FOTM rerollers - go do “PvP” vs training dummy if you think your class designer did good.
And how do you counter 3 stuns in a row ? Trinket ? So you get only two ? Or you were just lucky and didn’t get the happy times that is the game putting you vs rogue ?
I can’t say play vs rogue, since you literally can’t play while stunned / disarmed and so on vs this class. Good job being lucky I guess. Maybe they should introduce a system where you ban a class so you can play normally so we can have the luck you had ?
Cheap Shot has not been removed from the stun DR. It DRs with every single stun in the game, as it should.
If you Cheap Shot, it lasts 4s, the next one is 2, and then 1. If you Cheap Shot for 4s, then Kidney Shot after it it will last 2.5s and not 5.
A full Kidney Shot with no DR lasts 5s at the longest.
There are numerous ways to attack a Rogue through Evasion, PARTICULARLY as a Warrior.
This is not how DRs work. A DR starts at the end of CC. If you get stunned by a Cheap Shot for 4s, then you start a 20s DR when it ends. But then if the Rogue uses a DR Cheap Shot for 2s on you, it resets the stun DR timer, and it becomes 20s again.
This entire post is a huge package of bs sprinkled with misinformation. Instead of crying about things that are not even true, you could instead ask for guidance in order to not be terribly bad. That’s a better way to do good into Rogues. Crying without even trying to get correct information and knowing what to do will not help you. You’d just find something else to be a baby about even if Rogues got deleted overnight.

DR is broken and if you deny it we play different games. I even picked orc and the stupid racial is not working at all, still shows 999 years of cheap shot and every NEXT cheap shot is not having DR.
Or I was paired with a cheater. That too happens a lot I guess.
There is no way to avoid cheap shot. I also play rogue, I go next to a person, I press button, person is stunned for a year.
Also, rogue’s class designer’s secretary - You complain about me stating a fact that makes the game unfun ? How dare I ! I should just stay silent and accept your boss’ failure of a class design ? Defend them all you want, after all that’s your job. Now go and tell them to do theirs !
I found out your gameplay style is of a target dummy who stay in stun and hope their partner to carry them. Stay in stun if you like it that much, how about rest of us normal players be allowed to play huh ?
P.S. This rogue I fought ( well I was afk mostly since my char was unable to do anything) DID NOT HAD ANY DR on Cheap shot. I reported them ofc.
This is a lie that can be disproved with literally any footage of any Rogue in any PvP match.
Two lies at once. The racial works really well. It is only 10%, but it is enough because Rogue globals are hard locked to 1s, and since stuns are 5s, 4s, 2s or 1s (from Rogues) then ANY reduction allows for a gap, or forces the Rogue to hold global ans forgo damage. It has worked like this for a very long time, it has never not worked, and was still working yesterday evening.
Cheap Shot DRs just fine.
That literally never happens. Stun duration doesn’t happen client side. You cannot cheat with that. It is impossible.

A random game picked from Kalvish’satest VoD, a very famous Rogue. It is the opener. You can watch it. He lands a Sap on the healer. Then 4s Cheap Shot on the Warlock, into a second Cheap Shot that HAPPENS TO BE DR’ED and lasts 2s, then he lands a Kidney Shot on the healer, and a third Cheap Shot on the Warlock who is now very DR’ed, and SURPRISE, THE STUN LASTS ONLY 1S.
Any other go on this game, and any other game in those 5 hours of replay are the same. Cheap Shot is 4s, then 2, then 1, and any other stun is also DR’ed. Watch it and be silent.
with that in mind, just press bladestorm every time he dances. if they go your healer then just intervene then bladestorm on every dance.
obviously if you’re getting a lot of multi glad / rank 1 rogues in 2s you’re going to get outclassed and smoked, but if you’re facing 1800-2400 rogues, just bladestorm. bladestorm every dance, die by the sword the ones you dont have bladestorm for.
unless your healer is throwing you shouldn’t have problems as warrior/healer vs sub/healer or sub/mage. sub is way harder to pull off than arms, just bladestorm the dances.
you should also not be on the sub as they just dont die sadly because blizzard moment, so just train the other target and press bladestorm every time you hear dance.
sub only gets scary when you meet a glad/r1 on it who mains it. most other subs are pretty terrible and have no answer for bladestorm on dance.
You realise your talking to someone who play nothing but hard caster right, also 3 healers. CC is not stranger to me in this game, ppl train their cc on me. Even on rogue you would be their main target for all their cc as otherwise you kill them.
Only classes I dont play are war,ww,dk,dh,retri those are pretty much all i dont play. All of them have alot cc now aswell. You self play arms which currently is spamming stun like rogue almost lol, and lets not even start about dh cc since df. You make it sound like rogue is only class in the game that does cc so idk if you really know whats going on there. But yeah cheap shot is on stun dr.
It used to be entertaining when he wrote these almost like a poem about his misadventures from his time in various ccs, but when he gets angry and starts smashing ppl with nonsense, it’s just not fun anymore.
what i’m amazed from this clip is how fast rogue gets more combo points, maybe the nerf should be there. 3 cheaps in matter of seconds. I think this is a bit too much cc.
Maybe it’s happening because cheapshot is cp builder and not spender like kidney? If u meant energy, they play with tea nowadays, afaik, which provides a lot over enough of it
its the fact they have access to a numerous amount of CC/ stuns
even if they are on DR most other classes have a cooldown to their CC abilities and thus cannot spam them
a rogue ALWAYS has access to a stun or CC
now if it was toned down a little, Rogues would be beyond squishy… and this is the problem with rogues. they rely on their offensive kit over survivability
we could share Cooldowns with cheap shot/ gouge / kick /disarm
this way they would have to at least wait a few seconds before chaining them? i dunno i dont play a rogue but maybe thats an option?
