They did in ST, just not in PvP or AoE.
You mean the same way ww needed pve buffs because ST meanwhile i was pulling 350k dps with 450 ilvl and pvp pieces as set (on Igira which is a pure ST fight)?
I can depending on procs deal quite high dmg in both m+ and ST right now with my WW compared to my Ret which had roughly 20 ilvls higher.
And Igira isnt just purely ST damage, you can easily use AoE dmg on spears to increase dps x)
Rets, according to actual statistics, were at the bottom 3-5 in terms of ST damage. Increasing FV damage only would been fine for pure ST, WoA is, according to myself, too much since it also buffs AoE which wasnt rly needed overall.
But, like I said, I dont agree with them adding the buffs to PvP.
pretty sure Dev evoker has been sitting on bottom end of spectrum for most of patch and all they got was a disintegrate buff, so i dont see how its qualified for ret to get a multitude of buffs.
You talking about PvE or PvP? In raids they are doing quite fine.
I mean, I wouldnt even mind playing one if it wasnt for the fact you are forced to be in dragon form unless you use a toy.

Both, or atleast raid. The last time I looked at WC logs, overall dating prior to the disintegrate buffs ofc. They were nearing the bottom on raid performance.
I know they have comps in 3’s but it feels like one of those classes in PVP where the person playing it has their brain switched on, to be playing it to begin with. And my solo queue shuffle and 2v2 adventures would reinforce this ideology

I personally believe they are like hidden strong but they arent played that much due to popularity. I know atleast a few ppl who would be interested to try them or even play them with the same feeling I have with being forced in dragon form. Even if I understand why I just dont like it personally ^^
We were C tier now we A or maybe A+ tier, seems fair. I can comprehend why 2k gamers making angry posts like this, but why mage and warlock after they got buffs either

I mean i dont mind 2k people, im the one, but putting in plainly - we are not enought, especially in matters of class design, we can be wrong
Ret was bottom half in M+ and bottom full stop in raid.
It being easy to play and dominating lower keys as a result doesn’t mean there isn’t a balance issue when it’s wildly underperforming at the top level.
id rather ret gets buffs all day long than seeing sub rogues 100-0 whilst picking their nose
Dev is a top 10 spec in raid, and is mainly overlooked in M+ because there’s no reason to play dev over aug, but it’s not remotely the worst M+ spec.
Today I play 3s was full of rets… Ret this ret that ret the other.
I was wondering the same.
In most brackets and CR ranges Ret was like 5th-6th best melee after Havoc/Unholy/WW/Sub/Arms.
They could have buffed many other melees before getting to ret
