I agree with what you said. Keep in mind, this is a “Blitz”-Brawl, so hopefully the real solo-queue mode for RBGs will be according to current RBG rules - while Blitz can remain a weekly brawl like any other brawl
Blizzard don’t give a **** about players pushing back. They already demonstrated that countless times.
If they themselves are satisfied then that’s how it’s going to be.
They did that for the easy cash after seeing the absolute massive success of several private servers.
Classic wasn’t born out of good, it was born out of greed.
+1 they pretend like this is a trial run for the RBG Thing i guess, Who wants to tell them? Blitz =/= RBG queues ? and that any idea of this being a “pilot” / “test run” or anything like that is beyond stupid. Because their not actually testing what their planning on releaseing? and all other similarly gathered data will be hindered by that fact.
They need to stop messing around with the game and just give the players what they want. I would love a queue system of rated players to play on battleground maps. No speed increases, No gimiky buffs, no new flag mechanics just let us queue holy sht man i know your a small indie company but its not that hard
We asked endlessly for soloq arena. they gave us brawl shuffle, then shuffle rated.
We asked endlessly for soloq rbg. they gave us brawl blitz, soon to be rated blitz.
talent trees returning
pve gear out of pvp
faster pvp gearing
faster TTK
better wpvp rewards and more things to do in wpvp
etc. you can say they dont listen fast enough but saying they don’t listen at all is just absurd. they have done nothing but cater to demands since 9.1. you do not need to act like an oppressed minority when giving feedback - state your issues with the mode, then go away. stick around to discuss solutions if you want.
“just make it rbg, but solo queue” isn’t feedback - regular rbgs are terrible, which is why the mode itself is dead and has been dead since mid-cata. it is extremely sweaty and gimmicky. you are not going to get rbgs joined via LFG for the same reason we got shuffle, not one-and-done arena games but with LFD queue.
every change they made is downstream from the fact that they don’t want queue times to be 1+ hr. it is 8v8 not 10v10 for that reason. as an 8v8 bg, there are less people in the bg, so rotating needs to be faster, so they added mount speed. at the same time they don’t want the rbg gameplay to resurface in blitz, which is cap bases then endlessly spin them for 15 minutes of boredom, so they make them decap after 30 seconds.
the changes themselves make sense on paper, they just need tweaked so that they are fun. the mount speed should probably be reduced, the time you have a base should be longer and the time taken to tap a base should be longer to stop the absurdity of stormbolt > cap or kidney > cap.
They have to work on some stuff since they can’t change the players, so they change the mod. Just right now I was in a RBG and people facerolled at GM even tho around 25 times it was called out to move. Most people are dumb, it’s just true. So they changed how capturing bases work. It actually makes sense.
Also, a healer being able to invite a friend results in people actually having a reason to talk to each other, make friends and queue. One of the core issues WoW had for years. At the same time it incentivises the healers, while providing shorter queue times.
It’s always easy to talk and act like everything is clear and easy to fix. It’s not. Even tho I don’t agree with a lot of stuff they implemented but just by trying “something new” they were able to actually come up with some good ideas.
Same old might work for the few players in rbgs who’ve known the same strats for 10+ years and how to bounce around in druid bear form spamming moonfire and spinning a flag for 10 mins… but if they want new players to play pvp competitively, especially when there’s endless other games to scratch that itch, they need to shake up the formula to draw in new players and somewhat even the playing field so its new gamemode and strats for everyone.
