why are fire mages so weak in the beginning of the expansion. and why is blizzard okay with it

Not likely to be the case in shadowlands as we are getting all the borrowed power at launch.

Fire mage is very strong in 3 vs 3.

I’m going fire for SL.
Phoenix flames being baseline mean that even without any gear you can now have a full combustion, just because it’s 100% crit insta cast spell with 3 charges.
Sun king legendary is amazing, 0 rng, 6 second combust, makes manual Pyro feel good.
Idk how numbers will be, but even if they are worse than frost, fire just looks infinitely more fun from the get-go. And i love frost.

Mage in general is weak alone ever since Wotlk ended, but now it is very good with team situation. PVE and PVP wise.
