My question is simple: Why can people playing other specialization during the encounter need on other specialisations gear?
For me especially it’s the fyrakk tanking trinket that I’ve lost four times now to random dps’ers in the pugs since apparently they can need on it and it counts as mainspecc.
Especially since some items, like this one, are rare.
It’s a stupid demotivating system.
Plenty of people who tank keys join raids as dps because there are only 2 tank spots per raid group. Why should they be prevented from rolling need on an item that they actually need for their main spec just because they’re playing off spec to get into a raid?
Yes, if you want for example tank loot, you should join as tank. Because that is their responsibility in the group, hence they should get prio on the loot they worked for.
How do you join as tank if every raid listed already has 2 tanks?
There aren’t that many tank spots. For every 30 people 2 tanks is very low. At least in M+ you need 1 for every 5 players. You can’t blame tanks to just queue as dps.
It’s not only for tanking, healing and dps should be “protected” in the same way.
Because if you’re rolling on your off spec you can’t also roll on another spec at the same time. Also items like Suncaller which list as DPS only are literally better for healers in mythic+ than most healing trinkets. Same for augury and there’s legitimate reason for DPS to want rageheart.
This. Im needing for those DPS trinkets.
Maybe they will drop some day.
And I dont feel bad at all because by now all dps mains should have had their BiS gear from raid. Its been 10 weeks already !
Im getting the crums of DPS main spek… So my main spek (healer) >>> some random alts…
I want that trinket so much for pushing M+. It sucks that dps only classes can’t need on it.
It sucks even more if you’re a mistweaver.
