Are we as the players just kinda douchebags? Cause the whole war is over, alliance horde working together, yet we as players just mindlessly kill eachother out in the world, is there a reason for this?
Lore wise? No
Gameplay wise? Yes, can’t take away World PvP After like 18 Years of it existing.
That is just dumb. No offense, but how the hell can anyone say that? The Horde an the Alliance have been killing each other for the extent of the game and I’m not talking about PVP. Those orcs killed those human’s partents, or those nelfs killed that tauren’s children. The Forsaken and to be honest most of the Horde burned nelfs alive and so on.
You telling me that all of a sudden everyone forgot about that and decided to just do a group hug or something? Talk it out around a one of those hippie circles? That’s just dumb.
We have two factions that have been butchering each other for the last few decades inflicting more damage on each other than every other end-of-the-world scenario. To say there’s no reason lore-wise is insane.
Just because the faction leaders refrain from killing one another, doesn’t mean the gereral population of Azeroth does.
It is, but i’m not the one who made Lilian Voss and Shandris Feathermoon be friends and roam around the Emerald Dream together, right?
You don’t need to tell me, how insane it sounds, that all of a sudden all the Leaders have Short Term memory loss and always seem to forget how much pain they caused each other. I’m not the guy who wrote that lore.
Non the less in the current State of the Game and the Lore available to use, it seems like the Horde and Alliance are currently more or less in peace with each other, so Lorewise there is goal for the either of them fight one another, there for me saying “Lore wise? No” is not wrong.
Don’t take it the wrong way, didn’t want to come off as insulting or something. I’m just saying the notion that poof everyone is at peace all of a sudden is frankly, moronic.
And if you recall, Vanilla WoW takes place right after the races of Azeroth band together to beat up the Legion, but after that’s done with they are still in conflict, not in an open war, true, but in competition with each other. And consider back then they had way fewer reasons to hate each other.
This actually made me think about that kid from Game of Thrones who stabs Snow.
Well right now, they don’t really have a reason either, the burning for Teldrassil seems to also be “Forgiven” by Tyrande, i mean she even left Sylvanas alive, who was actually the Person behind the burning at all. Like pretty much all the Horde Leaders for example also condemed her actions and also went for her, so as i said, that seems to be settlet.
So right now what reason do they really have to be in some sort on conflict? I mean it’s not out of the question that they could go at each other again, but right now, there seems to be no reason tho, unless i forgot something.
How about revenge? How about resources. Politics. Locations. How about just plain old habit? Plenty of reasons to be in several kinds of conflicts. In fact I cannot think of a single reason why they wouldn’t be in a conflict.
Yeah but that’s one of the “Future” reasons, i’m talking about right now, right now.
Some will never forgive genocide.
Some will continue the cycle of hatred.
Some will simply be bandits.
Some simply find joy in killing others.
So in the story and lore, it is very likely still conflict and individuals taking hostile action. Be it as agents of their faction, as rogue individuals or simply opportunists. There are plenty of reasons, in a world where conflict has been so prevalent for fights to still break out.
