Why are poisons on auto assist?

long time combat player, don’t like roll the bones, back when it was a toss up between slice an bones I always took slice.

now I see combat which had a nice fun and simple rotation for like nearly 2 decades now is having to keep up 3 self buffs, slice, bones and between the eyes I opted to use rotation assist even knowing its giving me slightly worse damage at the cost of not having to think about roll the bones or between the eyes

but damn try do some warmode and you can open with a cheap shot press assist and right there and then in the middle of a stun the game is like…. “NOPE YOU CAN’T USE INSTANT POISON THAT IS A PLAYER BEST GO WOUND RIGHT NOW!!”

so you continue fighting on the player died or ran away or whatever and its fine but then all of a sudden attacking a mob and its like “I KNOW YOU’RE IN WPVP BUT… WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TODO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT POISON” and has you apply instant poison in the middle of a mob attacking you …

tldr whoever thought it was a good idea to put poisons on “rotation” assist? its not even a rotational spell!

The class developers don’t actually play rogue. That’s why nothing makes sense. Outlaw loses like 50% damage with one button rotation, you can’t use it.

It’s actually infuriating. One button Assa Rogue wouldn’t even be awful if they would fix this. Obviously it’ll never be competitive, for a good reason btw, but it’s pretty comfy outside the poison garbabe and AoE spam.

On the plus side, classes that are already good with One Button Rotation are obviously the favorites of the class developers and will certainly receive preferential treatment in the future. So you can use that information to choose a better main for Midnight.

I used to enjoy rogue so much I have several, my main of years! I rolled one on alliance, I rolled another to escape my dead server (warband made me regret that but I am happy I can go back to my original) and finally I used my free boost to get a dranie rogue something about the new class combo drew me though I didn’t play that one much.

now I don’t even know if I want to play the one I had because it feels like

sub is the complicated hard to play one (always was)

asassination is now the other hard to play one that needs to keep track of dots and now and vanish offensively

and combat is now another complicated hard to play one that needs to track 3 buffs and now also vanish offensively and is the only one with good aoe,

feels like rogue is in a terrible state and nothing I have seen so far from the beta has convinced me rogue will get the love it deserves.
