Why are the WORLD QUESTs so absolutly UNFUN?

Why not copy the once we had in Legion? Why do quests with terrible respawn timers or not anybody able to loot the items?

If you want people to be engaged to the game that isnt the way.

the problem isnt about the fun (the ones in hallowfall are nice) but there are too FEW of them.

And this is the 4th or 5th thread abou it.

got to say some are just lazily implemented did “claimed salvage” yet? you need to kill 12 goblins and collect 6 things when there’s hundreds of them but.

there’s a lack of goblins . one spawns every 5 mins give or take. fantastic design there. not very well done at all. Luckily there’s so few world quests i can spend time killing one every 5 mins…

They need to sort out the respawn rates asap
some world quests right now are horrible and just a pain to complete

They are lazy and the respawn times and numbers are far too low. Give me hundreds of mobs that I have to kill or packed together and that’d be something but having to run around a far distance to pick up 2-4 mobs at a time is so mind numbing.

Idk, I tried to do a few now to unlock some supposedly better reward and there’s no mobs. I can totally understand now why people want one more week of this garbage, it’s awesome fun.

If I have to pick one more vine, I’m lighting everything foilage in this expansion, including the fungarians in fel fire.

Also, why can’t we have new world quests? Why do we always get world quests with different expansion skins? It’s so unimaginative. Mix it up a bit!

But please, please, stop with the vines.

Also, why are we competing for mobs and boxes? You’ve shown each thing can be looted for individuals and yet proceed to make us compete again. I don’t want to spend 50 minutes on one world quest because everyone and their grandmother is doing it at the same time.

Also, you totally backtracked on cross faction queuing and over world content… false advertising yet again. Blizzard, why you do this?

yes this is the problem. with few wq all the people is doin the same ones and is crowded like tokyo subway.
For the wq in se these are the same from the beginning.

Apart from abysmal respawn time for some of them, world quests are meant to be FAST, not fun since they prohibited WQ tracker from autoforming groups which were highly popular in Legion (that’s why Legion WQ were so good)

Old good devs left. Now we get diversity hires in charge of quest design.

these quests are always the same since the beginning of wq!!! is not a matter of diversity. But lazyness and shortage.

So where are they now? Some of them tried to make a successful MMO with Wild Star, and it bombed. It shut down faster than most MMOs. Former Starcraft devs are making Stormgate now, and it seems to be bombing also. The original Diablo developers made Torchlight, then sold out. Torchlight never gained the popularity of Diablo, either.

I’m the first to say that I would like to see a different leadership for the WoW team, new people with real passion, fresh ideas and courage who aren’t burnt out or bored, but I think it’s too easy to blame design issues or lack of innovation on “diversity hires”. Many of the people who were responsible for taking WoW in certain directions were not, and are not, “diversity hires”. I also don’t agree that someone who is “diverse” is automatically worse at their job. That is populist polemics.

I believe that the state of the game and the business surrounding it have more to do with shareholder expectations, corporate bloat, and making cuts in places that hurt quality and innovation. Having to create games on a tight schedule like you’re an assembly line worker leads to uninspired products, not creative works.

This isn’t limited to just WoW, either. The large bulk of big games coming out today have the same formulaic, bland, cookie-cutter feel to it.

My only issue with the WQs so far is not spawning enough mobs. It is not fun to have to wait for mobs to appear. No one minds a bit of competition but when it takes an age to complete a basic task it’s unacceptable.

Whether it’s lack of mobs or lack of items to pick up.

You guys should be happy since you get to play the content longer. Just slow down, relax and enjoy the ride, no need to rush everything, right?

Don’t be salty now. Just because you have to wait for M0.

Can’t believe people are asking for the Legion world quest system back lmfao… revisionism goes crazy. What’s next - will we be begging for spec-defining RNG based legendaries?

Personally loving the new WQ system and hated everything about Legion with a passion.

My gripe with WQ’s are that sometimes i cant remember what it was they wanted me to do. So i have to look it up on wowhead as the game itself will not tell you what to do.

I wish there was the text ingame fo what to do.

you guys didn’t play BFA and SL WQs and it shows. TWW wqs are the fastest we’ve had - easily on par with Legion, and way more rewarding. The only issue they currently have is that the respawn rates are terrible on kill quest ones.

Respawns are still an issue
The world boss world quest, some assembly required and cannot be completed in a raid
come on Blizz…
