Why are there no 1 month gametime options anymore

I came back for the new expansion and to see a little bit of the prepatch. I had put enough money on my account some weeks ago for gametime but hadnt gotten to actually playing yet. But now i suddenly notice there are no 1 month gametime options anymore for paying with blizz balance. So i am basicly forced to spent more money. Either by paying for an active subscription without blizz balance or having to put more money on my account for the 2 months.

This is absurd, does anyone know why 1 month gametime options have been removed?

(also a bit of topic but how is shadowlands flying unlocked again? i havent gotten to it since it wasnt out yet when i played SL. But i cant seem to find the pathfinder achievement. I want to take care of this in case some future questline sents me back to this hellhole)

So they can get more money from you. /End thread

Because they make more money this way. Simple.

That’s the reason right there.

Your not forced to do anything.

If you don’t want pay don’t play. Vote with your money.

But you won’t, therefore they can.

They changed that some time ago.
Pre paid cards are also only available in two months now.

Yeah thats pretty much what i feared it was all about. If i had known they removed the option i would have just bought a subscription and instantly canceled it to get my one month gametime. Last time i played 1 month options were still there so them sneakily removing it kind of forced me to pay more this time as i wanted to use my blizz balance wich i still had

yeah but still over the course of the SL expansion right? because i could have sworn the 1 month options still were there at the start of the expansion.

Also do wow tokens still give 1 month game time, or did they change that as well? I got to know this since the start of the expansion is a wonderful time to make alot of gold to buy wow tokens for future gametime or balance

Yeah, i believe it was sometime during 9.0.5.
I don’t remember the reason

Short version: Money
Long version: More money

Greedy company spiralling down, slowly but surely. I’d probably do the same thing if it was my company.

Good luck though :vulcan_salute:

Sub for a month then unsub

It’s not terribly surprising unfortunately. A lot of subscription-based services get a big chunk of their income from people who tries it for a free month and then forgets to unsubscribe. Same thing here, they’re counting on people who still want the 1 month a time alternative who are now forced into subscribing forgetting or not bothering to cancel in time.

That.

And also the game time buyers are somewhat now forced to pay for 2 months in a row, instead of 1.

Blizzard have made all the calculations. They would only do this change if they would make money out of it.

Wait this doesn’t seem right, I am currently on a 1 month sub plan. Why is everyone says there’s no one month sub option ?

1 month subscription is still a thing, 1 month gametime as in you just buy 30/60/90 days is no longer an option with 30 days. So if you just want 30 days, you have to subscribe and then (immediately) unsubscribe.

maybe it depends on country?

1 month game time is not the same thing as 1 month sub

Because Blizzard just wants money no matter how much inconvenient it is to players.

I used to gift friends a game card with one month sub, I was fine with spending 13 euros for a friend, but now they are forcing me to spend 26 euros which is a lot. It really sucks.

To subscribe on a recurring monthly basis is the only way to get that option.

Buying game time is at least a block of two months.

Some sub then cancel it from recurring.

Yep this is what i would have done if i knew there were no more 1 month gametime options. Since they still were there last time i played i just put some blizz balance on there because i still had some left wich i otherwise would not be using
