WTF is wrong with warriors ??? why do i hit in pvp for like 700-1300 execute ! while hunters & druids just roll over me like a truck ! Scratch that everything is rolling over me like a truck !!! i play warrior all my life and this balancing is just CRAP. everyone knows CASTER > MELEE so weak warriors i’m gonna roll a shaman ! blizzard is rly playing shaman + druid this year! I mean sometimes i do BIG CRITS for 300 damage LOOL !! i’magine i had no BRE + blue PVP GEAR < JUST ADD A RUNE CALLED BLADESTORM >
Paladins are the new warriors this time, they do everything better
Yea!
And give hunters a real disengage, aspect of the turtle and masters call
druids cyclone and cat/boomkin leap etc etc etc
Funny that you think the solution is bladestorm. I would have thought you would ask for something like colossus smash that would allow you to ignore armor.
I also play a mage and I can say with certainty warrior damage is anything but weak against that char. The hp disappears as soon as the warrior connects.
More like spell damage > physical damage. The problem with warriors right now is them doing only physical damage and not having a quick solution to bypass armor.
No reason to complain, opponents have no solution to bypass 75% damage reduction of shield wall …
Damage isn’t everything especially not when defending objectives as a tank.
There is a difference between a 5 minute cooldown and a passive, always on stat. All the classes that do well right now have a combination of high armor and dealing mostly spell damage. Warriors have the first part of that combo but not the second…
I know that damage addicts always ignore anything else in this game, but without avoidance you don’t survive.
Dead make zero damage.
Also a good warrior will never run around in open field to make himself a kite victim,
he is a stationary fortress and only noobs are constantly in trouble by running solo into zergs.
“while hunters & druids just roll over me”
Guess why this barely happens to good and experienced warriors?
And in case it could happen you use CDs.
the OP is clearly talking about lacking dmg on his warr, which does come as surprise considering he also mentions having bre, but then he thinks he would do better as a shaman when you have ret pala, clearly playing alliance he didn’t fight any semi-decent ret often enough, only when you get obliterated 100 to 0 by a ret you rethink you choices in wow
you know what would put pressure on a ret? a combo like charge->throwdown->col smash. a bit like a rogue does it in SoD atm with stuns and sebacious poison
why do ppl like him think bladestorm would solve anything is beyond me, rather have colossus smash(hello?!? have you played cata?), throwdown, second wind, spell reflect, maybe freakin stuns from charge and intercept and shockwave not share dr?!?!?
talk about shockwave, it’s awesome for tanking, try it outside glad stance in pvp! swap weapons, go def stance
meanwhile sebacious poison! don’t get me wrong, from a rogue pov i’m not complaining! i didn’t ask for it, but i’m not going to say no to it lol.
let’s put in now in a warrior perspective! not even devastate is applying 5x stacks of sunder at once to the target. hello? but keep thinking bladestorm will save you.
and you have stop bringing up boomer stuff like
when they have warbringer AND meathook
as a cloth user war hit me for 3k-3K5 with execute , must be a giga skill issue OP.
When I’m on my warrior It depends who I’m fighting
Druids can melt me into the ground while they are AFK making coffee
Other physical dmg dealers cant do much against me though (tank) I can fight them all day, I can’t kill them but it’s sorta fun in a way, they usually run away eventually
/shudders
Did you have to remind me of my past mistakes? Hope you feel good about yourself now.
Warriors don’t need spellpower, def warrior has highest armor and each shield slam gives him a 15 sec buff of additional 500+ attack power. (depending on your total def) On top he can stack sunder armor debuff. We are talking about tanks mate, my Prot warrior has 1200 ap and it’s the only tank with avoidance while doing damage the whole time.
Can a pala do that? No he waits in his bubble. No pressure at all.
Yes, a Shaman Shield Tank is pumping but his armor depends on blocking and he has ZERO avoidance. Shamans were crazy op PRE power surge nerf, but since they lost their endless instant procc heal, now their survival strongly depends on active healing and while casting heals they cannot counter any incoming damage similar to Paladin.
Just saying, there is a trade of for everything.
I am aware of what you said. I wasn’t talking solely about tanks though in my reply to the OP.
I guess I can’t take SoD PvP seriously with classes doing 8k dmg in a 6 second stun or shaving off 75% hp from 40 yards or being unkiteable and all the power creep that was introduced.
I was just adding my 2c that the main reason warriors are held back right now from dominating is that they deal full physical damage in a meta where spell damage dominates, look at druids, shamans, paladins, hunters… and the traditional casters.
At the end of the day each player is free to wish for whatever they feel like, I just think if you really want warriors to go nuts, give them a cooldown that ignores armor, and not bladestorm, you’ll see why.
Because it’s derived from PvE, there is no balance in classic which is why AoE damage of a shield shaman is out of control or hunters with perma 30%+ dodge builds.
Having highly defensive chars pumping is fun in PvE but we shouldn’t be surprised about the negative impact to PvP, WoW was never designed for PvP that’s why we cannot take it serious for about 20 years.
Then is time to make a WoW full PVP as Plunderstorm but better and similar nowadays WoW
Go ret man what are you doing?
Just focus mages in BG you’ll feel better.
Btw. the main issue with PvP is not spellpower, it’s the lack of resistance and immunity to certain types of damage similar to PvE NPCs. (For example fire elementals)
In this case a shaman with flame shock or Fire mages is useless especially when fighting Elite.
The imbalance between resistance (non physical damage) and armor (physical damage)
has always been a problem in WoW. Average 60% phyiscal damage reduction, chances to block, dodge and parry is really good in WoW, but as soon players deal with spelldamage, even tanks turn into a joke.
Unfortunately Blizzard never added better resistance gear similar to armor.
This is also related to Boss mechanics and to avoid overpowered solo performance in PvE.
Only chance for Blizzard solving core issues in WoW, is adding Runes for PvP only and better resistance gear without any impact to PvE. This way they don’t need to worry about touching classes or break any PvE mechanics.
the warriors i follow around feeding windfury totem seem to be doing just fine.
not sure what you are on about here.
warrior is beastmode when they got support.
less so when they are alone.
working as intended.
