Why are we in the Shadowlands?

I have some questions about the whole reason of this Addon, guys.

Why are we in the shadowlands, why did silvanas shatter the Helmet of domination?
Was it bcs the jailer wanted her to? What was the reason for this? I cant imagine the jailer needed anduin for his Plan when he has an army that cant be compared to anything.
Plus we, the Champions, were able to free the runecarver/Primus, a pretty strong enemy for the jailer.
AND we defeated Denathrius.
This doesnt seem like a good deal for him. I dont understand it.

…and if the jailer didnt want silvanas to shatter the helmet, why didnt she get her punishment ?

And last question:
Why did silvanas even change her mind AFTER she helped the jailer get his arbiter ball thing back, giving him a big powerup? This “i dont serve anyone” thing cant really be the reason, since she were seamingly just following the jailers orders all along. So what was even her goal?

What is the reason behind this whole addon?!

Genuine counter question: Do you care for the answers, or do you want to point out the plot holes? If Blizzard released some kind of free media tomorrow that explained the plot holes away, or if you found out that there was some hidden explanation in the game since 9.0 that the secret finders just hadn’t found yet, would it make you feel better, or just take away the criticism without taking away the negative feeling?

I’m asking as someone who made a few threads like this myself.
