Why aren't Kul Tirans Paladins?

I find it amazing that this hasn’t happened yet!

And why are they Warlocks?
Females are neat but Male Warlocks just look major goofy.

Because they have a different culture than humans in eastern kingdoms. Did you notice that there isn’t a church in Boralus?

But yeah, they can give them Paladins and sacrifice a bit more world building/immersion

There’s been Kul Tiran Paladins in game since Dragonflight. So yeah, why not?

Because in Dragonflight they tried to make something normal in the lore for gameplay reasons and didn’t care that they butchered the world building that the game had before.

Just think of how they added Lightforged Draenei and Maghar Orc Warlocks in Dragonflight. World building is a bit of a circus atm.

Compared to say - Lightforged Draenei as Warlocks, it’s not that deep.

It is that deep. Have you read for example the book about Arthas from Christie Golden? There it’s very evident that Paladins get raised to become Paladins from a young age, and it’s even a struggle for very talented people. A Mercenary or Merchant from Kul Tiras can’t just visit Stormwind and become a Paladin easily in the lore, but hey, they can just make it happen and make all the prior lore irrelevant

Never mind that they’re priests already

Maybe because their belly are in the way for the shield?

You don’t need a church or religion to be a priest or a paladin tho.

You need to believe in the actual power of the light and that what you do is right ( doesn’t mean it has to be right tho)

Priests in the lore and how priests are designed in the game are different. Priest is unique in that sense, where the definition of Priest is very broad. Usually Kul Tiran Priests are Shadowpriests or have some relation to Drust. For example Vol’jin is also technically a priest, but not in the way we know in the game. Same with Anduin, who is also some special type of Priest, that reminds more of a Paladin.

Even Lightforged Draenei Paladins struggled with that. I recommend reading some of the older wow books and see how much most Paladins can struggle calling the light despite lifelong training since childhood

I find it amazing that the base classes are not available to all races at this point.
Lore has been thrown out the window a long time ago already, so it’s pointless to argue with that.

Okey and?

Does that disproof what I said?

Did I said average Andy can stumble over a hammer and turn into a paladin?

Blizzard would be better off just removing Kul Tirans as an allied race, and adding them as a body type for Humans, because some Kul Tiran look like the regular humans, while some of the regular Humans and Arathi look like Kul Tiran. For example Jaina is the daughter of a Kul Tiran.

But implying Kul Tirans can just be Paladin easily makes no sense, because if some grew up in Stormwind, and trained with the Paladins, they wouldn’t really be Kul Tirans.

what?

Kul Tirans don’t really have a church of the Light, so why would they become Holy Priests, or something similar. Meanwhile there are many void worshippers in Kul Tiras due to old god presence on the island, so it makes sense that they have Shadowpriests.

In wow lore it doesn’t really make sense that someone is just born as a light-caller randomly. Someone can have light-affinity, but usually it’s taught by a community that learnt how to use the light by meeting a Naaru or having something like Keeper Tyr guide them at some point. Or for Zandalari Paladins it was the Loa of Kings

I think Tauren Paladins also were supposed to worship the sun in Cataclysm, but at some point Blizzard made the sun a druidic source of power, so Tauren are also a bit odd atm due to lore inconsistency

We have Lightforged Draenei as Warlocks and SP. Need more be said to be honest.

If they follow through with the Tyr questline we should get more races that can be paladins.

If that means I also get undead big boys that’s a great idea ^^

I also think they could organize maghar and regular orcs this way, so it’s implicit, not explicit. With Undead I think it makes sense to add more undead body types, because in the lore there were various types of people being raised technically, not only humans. Dark Rangers should probably be an undead body type, rather than elven - BUT tbf Dark Rangers are technically Banshees, which is enough specific for them to he elven too
