Why *Battle for Azeroth* Should Be the Next WoW Remix Expansion – Here's Why It Deserves the Spotlight!

Hey everyone!

With the recent excitement around the Mists of Pandaria remix, it’s clear that revisiting past expansions is a hit with the community. But as we look ahead, I want to rally support for the next remix: Battle for Azeroth (BfA). Here’s why this expansion deserves to be in the spotlight again, and why it could be an incredible experience for both old and new players.

1. Faction Pride and Epic War Campaigns
Battle for Azeroth was all about the intense rivalry between the Horde and the Alliance. The War Campaigns brought back that classic faction pride, with compelling storylines, unique missions, and large-scale battles that defined the conflict. Imagine reliving the Battle of Dazar’alor or the Siege of Lordaeron with updated content and rewards!

2. Stunning Zones and Rich Lore
BfA gave us some of the most visually stunning zones in WoW history. From the lush, vibrant landscapes of Zandalar to the gothic, haunting beauty of Kul Tiras, every zone was dripping with lore and adventure. Exploring these areas again with a remix treatment could unlock new stories and hidden secrets, keeping us on the edge of our seats.

3. Allied Races and Heritage Armor
The introduction of Allied Races was a game-changer in BfA, giving us new races to explore with unique racial abilities and heritage armor sets that were both fun to earn and visually impressive. A remix could expand on this concept, introducing new special remix-only heritage armor sets that would be must-haves for collectors.

4. The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur – The Auction House Mount
Let’s not forget the most iconic mount introduced in BfA: the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur. This massive dinosaur wasn’t just a status symbol, but a game-changer with its portable Auction House. If BfA gets remixed, this mount could return with new twists—perhaps even new ways to earn it or exclusive skins. Imagine the thrill of earning this mount in a new, reimagined way!

5. Island Expeditions and Warfronts
Island Expeditions and Warfronts added a unique PvE element that kept the gameplay fresh and engaging. With a remix, these could be enhanced with more dynamic challenges, new rewards, and even cross-faction gameplay that could breathe new life into these features.

6. The Heart of Azeroth and Azerite Gear
The Heart of Azeroth and Azerite gear system was a central feature of BfA, allowing for deep customization of our characters. A remix could refine and expand this system, introducing new essences or traits that would make every choice feel impactful again.

Join the Movement – Let’s Make Battle for Azeroth the Next Remix!
I know BfA had its highs and lows, but with the lessons learned and the potential for innovation, a remix could truly elevate this expansion to legendary status. Whether you loved it or missed out the first time around, now’s the chance to experience it in a whole new light.

If you’re as excited about this idea as I am, let’s make our voices heard! Share your thoughts, upvote this post, and let Blizzard know that Battle for Azeroth deserves its time to shine again.

Let’s bring back the war, the epic zones, and the Brutosaur in all its glory!

For the Horde! For the Alliance! For Battle for Azeroth!

Nope

  1. For you, I didn’t feel any particular “faction pride”

  2. We just saw in remix exactly how much

we’re likely to get

It could, but I doubt they would

  1. We’re not getting the Brutosaur back - at least not this soon after BFA ended.

  2. I think I did warfronts a few times - not really an engaging gameplay for me. Island expeditions were solely for the mission map, but honestly not something I’m missing.

  3. I liked the hearth of azeroth, I didn’t mind the azerite gear, but I did find the ginding of azerite mindnumbingly boring, especially so soon after the AP grind we had in legion.

Add to it that I didn’t care for bfa dungeons and raids, and we’re back at “thank you, but no thank you” to bfa remix

If i had to guess, WoD will be next.
I expect them to stop doing classic expansions after cata. WoD is the next one up.
If they decided to skip it, i think Legion would be next and ought to be a big one popularity wise.

BfA was the expansion that ruined faction pride for me. The faction war had almost nothing to do with the actual factions or war for that matter, the Alliance war campaign was literally helping the Horde get rid of emo vampire that was planning to betray them.

Again not really, the zones were beautiful but a bit on the Bland side, as for the stories were hit and miss.

One of the worst systems introduced in the game.

Boring and repetetive.

Arguably the worst system introduced to the game.

The only up side for a BfA Remix.

I’d like it. I still love the zones of BfA; they’re among the game’s best.

But, I think WoD or Legion would make more sense. BfA just feels so recent (that also has to do with the fact that it was the ‘standard leveling path’ for the last two expansions).

One thing though:

I don’t want to see ANYTHING like that. Maybe they could repurpose the Heart of Azeroth and makes that like the MoP Remix cloak; that’d be fine. But those two systems are some of the reasons why I disliked big parts of BfA (the other one is the last patch… Absolutely hated everything in there; from ruining two gorgeous older zones to corruptions to horrific visions - it was all horrible to me).

I think this should have simply never gone away. It was way too unique, convenient, and most of all expensive to be a FOMO mount. With the price tag of 5M gold it should still be obtainable. That amount of gold isn’t something most people have just laying around unless they made gold caps back in WoD and haven’t spent it since.

So imho it should just be put back into the main game. Hell, make it cost 10M so that the people who got it from BMAH don’t cry about having spent gold cap on it. It would be a long term goal to work towards for many people and it would actually feel really rewarding to finally get it.

I’m honestly still baffled by the decision to remove it with the end of BfA.

Just give wow daily login rewards like a cheap mobile game. On day 3 you get long boi, day 7 spectral tiger, day 14 cutting edge with a mount of your choice, day 30 gladiator title and mount of your choice.

Community is surely with me on this one.

…what? Why?

Yes. Because I want the War theme back in WoW.

I started playing Wow SPECIFICALLY FOR the faction conflicts. Now I am stuck with a “everyone is handholding as Armageddon approaches” type of story. Which in itself isn’t bad, but not what I started playing WoW for.

I’d prefer to go back to something older for Remix. I hadn’t touched Mists in so long it was refreshing.

Would love to see them do WoD for example.

Why not? Seems reasonable

I like your enthusiasm but I would not support a BFA Remix any time soon. And here are some of my reasons why:

  • Unlike MOP, I played through all of BFA, on so many alts too, that I have no desire to go through it all again at this time. And likely won’t for many years.
  • BFA was the default levelling experience for the last few years so it may not feel as good to run back through for a number of people.
  • BFA is not as self-contained as the likes of MOP. I imagine it turing into a bit of a nightmare for Blizzard trying to contain timerunners in the Vale and Uldum. Unless we’re given dedicated BFA Remix servers.

Personally - glad to see the back of it and never again pls. User the Devs and Programmers on the game we pay for not trivial distractions.

Ooooh yes, Drustvar. I like a spooky zone like that, e.g. Darkshire.

I’d like to see them do a BFA remix at some point, especially if they found some way to incorporate corruptions into their infinite power scaling system. However, I’d rather they did a Legion remix first.

i dont want remix,it was funny for a week maybe two.

I’m not extremely into spooky zones myself, but Drustvar definitely did it right.
I am still very intrigued by the Drust and hope to see more of them at some point.

The less I think about BFA the better, so that’s a no to BFA remix from me.

I see many people hate BFA and I’m in awe.

I didn’t like BFA much and it’s much too soon to go back … but I did love the Pandaria remix as my favourite expansion. I think TBC was my next favourite so would love a remix of that. So many different zones, a story that almost made sense … happy memories and good fun.
