Why blizz is losing money

I think they spent enough time wasted on catering to the tiny fragment that are not casual players.

But how is it catering to the hardcore ?

I really hate this us vs them mentality the wow playerbase has , casuals vs elitist , PvP vs PvE, just stop it, the game and Blizzard cater to no one except MAU reports.

I always saw negativity on it. But maybe that’s because I only played the beginning of BFA I heard it settled down a fair bit after BFA got into things abit. Didn’t return til 8.3

I remember the opening to BFA was quite horrific on forums. But saying that the forums turns horrific every expansion launch always has done

I think it’s more natural for most to come to the forums when they have something to complain about, the bulk of the happily playing playerbase are not interested in the forums.

We do have some fun stuff sometimes but positive threads never do as well on the whole.

That is true. No one daily logs onto forums to tell us how much they’re enjoying the game just the occasional one.

Why do we need devs to spend budget on developing a 2% content? mythic raids and systems tunings happen all the time.

I am fully open to let these 2% enjoy more fresh air and play less. Doubt they even pay sub, more likely they boost heroic for gold :^)

Vanilla was and Classic is casual mode for all player to be able to play together. Was a success, Cataclysm was an expac which divided players for real first time and there is where subs went down.

Devs prefer doing more difficulties then more content like vanilla did with 2004 with giga mmo.
Players prefer at large a big adventure and not sweaty thing.

From the business perspective blizz is losing money with its elitist erp since cata. Any suit with brain could ez fix it by redirecting dev budget to vanilla types of content but with 16 year of data and modern tech instead of difficulties and systems.

Prove me wrong, forums

Actually with the recent financials, Blizzard is not losing money. They are losing players in WOW, but those same players return at the start of a new expansion and will buy any new mount in the mount store. These things keep WOW going.
