wanna talk about new essence what gives a pvp talent players can use in PVE aspect.
1st of all I ll write down all other tanks major bonuses.
BDK - Unholy Command: Your Death Grip has two charges. Guardian - Sharpened Claws: Maul increases the damage done by your Swipe and Thrash by 25% for 6 sec. Brewmaster - Hot Trub: Purifying Brew deals 30% of your purified staggered damage to all enemies within 10 yards. Prot Pal - Steed of Glory: Your Divine Steed lasts for an additional 2 sec. While active you become immune to movement impairing effects, and you knock back enemies that you move through. Prot WAR!!! - Thunderstruck: Thunder Clap roots all targets for 1 sec.
tbh all this quite very useful in M+ content.
And now drums
VDH - Cleansed by Flame: Immolation Aura dispels all magical effects on you when cast.
Seriously!? why just not give taunt talent and nerf it till 1% per stack, or 25% sigils CD reduction, demon spikes 30% physical dmg return, illidan grasp as micro control. All this can be competitive to other tanks.
But they decided self dispel.

Dude being able to dispel yourself is strong. That being said they have already comeout and said they are likely to change a lot of them, you should see the hunter one lol.
More importantly I doubt any of them will be as strong as the other neck choices anyway.
All that being said illidan’s grasp would be by far the most fun.
It is strong in pvp content especially vs frost mages. It’s fact, however in pve content, its not that very usefull compare to other tanks. There is no need to self dispel around every corner in pve. On top of that we already use talent for immolation aura as souls generator. So we ll need to make a choice self heal or self dispel. Whats not a best thing.

They clarify they dont want this one be too mandatory in PvE since they design it to be PvP focused .
Otherwise single one i wish usable as VDH should be Vision of Perfection. having gloutonery as essence with regular meta proc and reduced CD could be pretty cool. (Miss the trait from Artifact)
Immo is part of your rotation. The biggest threat in BfA is magic damage by a mile. Tons of mobs apply dots or debuffs. It’s gonna mean quite alot less magic damage. Which is brilliant fot a tank, personslly think its a mega good talent.
