It’s the Blizzard way. Instead of being a decent company, they chose to try to virtue signal with irrelevant stuff like this.
No one would care about these jokes and flirts (i doubt many people care now tbh) if they would treat people like human beings among themselves. But it seems like thats too much to ask for.

It’s not about being offensive, it’s about being overtly sexual. A lot of them are also quite RP-breaking. For example, if you’re playing a female goblin who is not a total **** and a *****, maybe the joke about letting men “do nice things to you” for money isn’t the best one for your character to say.
The flirts that got removed are all in direct reference to sex explicitly. Personally I don’t mind sexual references, but if Ben Shapiro heard what the Draenei or female worgens say, he’d lose his mind.
If he heard the Blood elf male joke about “don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me”, he’d go on an 1 hour rant about how the radical left is corrupting our youth.

people do not get positions of power without stepping on a fair few toes on the way in the modern world.
a lot of people in higher positions are as sleaze as they come… but magically changed as soon as the penny drops too close to them.
