Why you are such a anti-consumer company? It’s like you hate your players and you want to make their in-game life as much miserable possible.
Why even the casual content of the game needs to be so miserable for everyone? You can’t even farm a rare without needing a party of 2-3 players. 20+ mill HP on rares with 3 hit kill mechanics? Are you insane? Why you force group content on casual gameplay?
Casuals can’t even farm a toy or pet without waiting 20 min to make a party to kill a rare that has 10% rate to drop a toy or pet?
It was so good in BFA and previous when you could farm rares without issues. Now you are 100% dependant on party.
I want to play casually. To collect a pet or two, do a achievement, not play your hardcore ridiculous rotations and waste time. I don’t want to focus and learn macros and rotations and buffs and bla bla to reach peak dps. I just want to farm a fluffing toy or pet and even that joy you ruin it for me. I work 60h/week and the only thing i don’t need in my limited free time is to die 20 times at a rare and frustrate myself with your stupid mentality of enforcing your ideologies on players.
The casual content was very well separated in previous expansions. Hardcore players had M+ and mythic raids, casuals had rares and pets. Why not continue with this formula which previously worked?
even gold farming was a group farm when DF started.
like those 2x4 groups in custom premade
its sad solo content was almost dead
Ah, how I miss the times where Elite Mobs for sidequests, or just wandering around, were near to unkillable on your own. Good times.
funny blizz did the most content not mandatory for power progression, because casual didnt want to play this “chores” and now no one plays it…crazy
you got some ap for it when a wq was up for it
wrong its now seperated, because you get zero power out of it sooooo its useless
Casual gameplay and group content are not mutually exclusive. I’d even say that in an MMO game it should be expected that even casual content may include group activities.
You’re playing an mmo and are suprised you might need to do some group content. Group content is and imo should be in casual gameplay, in fact more so then in the competitive scene, but that’s my take on it.
To kill a rare? Somehow I strongly doubt that you were required to pump out a certain amount of dps for that.
I’m gonna go off the road and be a bit of a mean person here for a sec, not intending to be offending please keep in mind.
This is irrelevant, I’m sorry but it’s not blizzards job to accomodate the hours of every players real life situation. What is their job is to make the majority of players able to enjoy their content, if they go beyond this it’s an act of kindness, but it’s not required.
Again sorry if this sounded mean but I hope you got the idea that the game both can’t and shouldn’t be balanced around the idea of minimal play for equal rewards.
They have, as far as previous expansions have been, like BFA or SL. You’re thinking of hyperscaling where the initial content that came out becomes insanely easy due to our increased ilvl when the end of the expansion nears, ergo last season. We will see this likely in S4 that the original DF content will be almost afkable.
Not just on casual play, for all play, and the answer is because we are playing an mmo not a single player game. I’m sorry but I am an avid player that believes we should be rewarded for social play, I don’t know how popular this opnion is though so take it with a bit of salt.
I haven’t really noticed this at all in my open world endevours but if you insist.
Just move on.
Honest answer, the game isn’t designed for you, either move on or accept it as it is, it isn’t going to change.
Ah, how I miss the times where I’d see people in the world , or just wandering around, so that we could group up and kill those Elite Mobs that were unkillable on our own. Good times.
yes it was.
there were however many loud voices for rarer rares and other bs.
you can thank them for your hardships.
Is this about Zaralek Cavern in particular or just anywhere in the Dragon Isles?
What would be WoW forums without their Blizzard fans defending WoW with their own lives? :)))
Ofc, i forgot that you are a pro dps and you can’t imagine how someone else can’t deal your godly dps on a rare, to kill it in 3 hits. What would be WoW without people like you?
This is irrelevant? No wonder you have such a limited mentality (to put it in nice words). Let me explain you how WoW works and makes money:
WoW doesn’t make money from hardcore players, those players play WoW for free. They do boosts for gold and then they buy subscription with gold.
Real money are made by players like me, casuals. We are the backbone of this game and we are the people that keeps this game running.
We are the noob casuals who buy 4-5 tokens to buy boosts, we buy tokens to buy items from AH (especially collectibles like pets and toys), we buy subscription because we don’t have time to farm hours daily or do boosts, etc. And the main reason we pump these money in WoW is because of our limited time and loss of focus that comes with the age increase.
Just out of curiosity, show me your last transactions in your WoW account. Here are mine:
ht tps://ibb.co/8bpQ3CL
(remove the space in the https)
The hardcore playerbase population is around 10% (out of total), while the rest of 90% are casuals like me that pump money into WoW. If all casuals would stop play, Blizzard would shut down WoW in max a month or make it F2P with in-game cash shop like mobile games, selling gear and power up.
So to ask to let me farm alone a rare and not be dependant on group is not much to ask in a game where 70% of activities are group activities.
In BFA, excluding the fact it was a bad expansion, at least there i could farm 90% of rares alone and the ones that where too strong to be done alone where too few. Now, out of 10 rares, 8 are hard to kill or you need group. Not to mention the rares in the cavern or the ones in the lastest map (Emerald Dream) with 18-22 mill HP.
I totally agree, that’s why we have group content like dungeons, raids, arenas, battlegrounds, world bosses, etc. But to force group event on everything, is a bit too much. Yes, put group content for 2-3 rares on each map with “special drop” and make it difficult, but not make it difficult on all rares. That’s the problem. Now, even Legacy raids (one of the most favourite content liked by casuals) are group dependant because of boss mechanics.
Even MMO’s like New World, which are almost 100% group based content, they have rares that are solo-able.
Due to forum ban policies I can’t reply my sincere thoughts to you. But i hope you understand i wish you “the best” and i hope you …
Now Caverns and new map (the dream map). And it was hard before on other maps also until i bought some boosts to gear up. Even now in some places there are ridiculous strong rares. For example Motivator Krathos in Azure Span spanks me even with the current gear. I don’t know and i don’t care what mechanics it has, but that rare should not hit me 100-150k/hit. I can’t survive him, tried everything (BL, Earth Elemental for tanking, etc), he kill my elemental in 3 hits and when he attacks me my Healing Surge heals me 30% of the dmg received, so even when i cast 5-7 consecutive heals, he kills me. I noticed that with each hit he does more and more dmg. That’s ridiculous.
Yes maybe that boss is do-able by ele shamans, but that means to do a perfect dps rotation and put 100% focus in that fight.
I am tired, i just want to kill a rare and get a pet. Is it too much to ask?
The rares in the Emerald Dream? I was soloing those ages ago.
Ofc you where darling. It’s 2024.
Not sure what you’re on about, tbh. I had to solo them for my pala’s legendary when there was no-one else around.
World content have never been as vastly soloable as it is today. Of course, with dragonflight being current expansion it may not be the case for exactly everything.
If you want to collect “just a few pets and achievements” there are a lot available for you yet in previous expansion areas, enough to keep you occupied for longer than is healthy.
Do love the solutions tend to be “go do the old content”.
100%
Been saying this on here for years and was always met with the: it’s an MMO, if you don’t like it go play a different game.
I mostly blame developers but I also have to blame the players, the fact that Mythic + keys is still a thing is mind-boggling to me.
Ofc darling you’re not sure about what i speak. That’s why i said it’s 2024 :)))
To be fair i don’t even know how to reply to you. I try to be as polite possible and not insult you, because i understand it’s not your fault. When the brain is damaged beyond repair, not even the best surgeons on the planet can’t fix it.
I’m so tired of such stupid replies like " it’s a mmo, not single player" or " go do old content"…how about you just mind your business if you can’t even understand the meaning of this post? Why come and troll and piss off people and always be contradictory ?
Because of people like our buddy Sevorex M+ is still a thing. They don’t play the game for overall content. They just play for the dps meter counter. I think it’s caused by some complexes in their love life, so they compensate it with high dps in M+…i can’t see other explanation why would you do the same dungeon 50 times a week.
I’m 100% a solo player.
But I honestly enjoy that there are some open world content, which require grouping up. It would be MUCH too lonely for me, to have a MMO be 100% soloable…
I think it has to do with rares being a “2min join’n leave” situation… So it’s not a larger “social commitment”. And that I would love to remain group content.
It also gives me a sense of power progression, when I’m finally able to beat it on my own.
