My question is why reporting someone for cheating dont work
I right click report same bot in game over 30times
I open ticket send ss with this player and gm tell me to right click report so i send around 20 more reports in game
I even send email with details to hacks@blizzard.com i dont even know if someone will ever check that email and 10min ago i even post that on twitter with @watcherdev @blizzardcs @blizzarddevs
3 WEEKS SAME BOT OVER 50 REPORT AND NOTHING THIS SUPPORT SERVICE IS PURE JOKE
I was playing on priv server i dont want to put name here but there is 12.000 online players 24/7 and thay ban bots non-stop i saw full red chat that players get perma ban for botting everyday ON PRIV server thay deal with that faster than Blizzard
Imagine someone reported your account, wouldn’t you want them to thoroughly investigate and make sure you were cheating before taking any action?
It’s the same with bots/multiboxers, they have to investigate to see if they are breaking the rules, multiboxing for example using software or hardware solutions to instead of performing one action per window.
Every time they investigate and they punish a cheat you should get an in game mail
It’s not a fast process but I have various mails like this on different characters.

It does feel like a Hydra , cut one head of 2 more spring up. I have given up reporting , i have given up reporting every bot in retail and classic.
I mean in classic just type /who blackrock depths and you see 1000 rogue bots pick pocketing mobs. All Blizz need to do is log in on a gm char and ban them all. But they don’t care , it’s that simple Blizz just doesn’t care.
They care if you buy storemounts and 6 months subs , and epic editions and tokens but when it comes to keep the game clean of characters and services that are against TOS they don’t care.
I know puny will defend the Blizz flag to her last dying breath ( Which is admirable in some way ) like how she defended the druid army multiboxers. Like how she defend other things but one day i do hope one day she/he can at least say " Guys you know what you’re right Blizz doesn’t care anymore"

That is probably the best analogy I’ve seen. I think overall the rule changes have helped to reduce the number of mass farming multiboxers but some just seem to persist regardless. If you get rid of one lot then more just appear. There are probably some instances where they are legitimately playing as well.
Reporting the boost groups in LFG feels very unfulfilling. I’m losing the will to keep reporting myself.
Looks like blizzard dont care boosting boting just makeing millions of that every year
I was near this bot for over 15min right click report him non stop after 5min i got error that system was disable for some reason 3rd week and he is still there i dont want to even fly to maldraxus with warm mode off to look how many bots are there

Private servers can do all kinds of interesting things that retail games cannot simply because of the disparity of populations. On the Lineage 2 Private server I play, you’re not allowed to multibox. There’s no getting around that, because the server allows only one connection from your network to their servers. If you want to play with a family member on the same network, you need to contact admins and they give you manual permission.
Most private WoW servers run WoTLK, and in WoTLK it was much harder to train an army of bots. What you need to know in retail is that boosters are always training an army of alts to post the offers. You can look up the rio of some of these characters - it’s always a fresh 60 with <150 ilvl gear making the postings. If one gets banned, there’s 10 taking up its spot immediately. This is because of how quick and easy leveling is. A good way of fighting boosters is making sure getting that last level is tough.
At this point it’s all about changing the game’s systems, not just fighting bots. The game being easy means there will be many more bots and boost spammers.

It needs to be almost instantaneous tho… Otherwise the bot has time to just send the material/gold to their “Vault” account

Sad but true mate have a nice day ;(
So many spots got nerf when i look for just skinning even cats that are beast dont drop leather in some place becosue thay farm this with bots and blizzard instead of changing respawn time on this mobs thay remove loot
Melodramatic much?? Also pretty inaccurate, as if you read some of Puny’s posts (and indeed the other MVP’s for that matter), they all criticise Blizz at times when they disagree with things be it the systems or the storyline

Also with botting, Blizz has always tried to identify how the botting program works, then break the program, then do a massive ban wave. I presume that’s what they’re still doing.
This was a good idea before when, although there was botting, it wasn’t nearly as prevalent as now … but now so much is taken out of the economy and it causes so much frustration among players, they may have to try something different.
However, I don’t think botting will ever be completely eradicated as there’s too much money in it for the people writing/selling the bot programs so, every time Blizz breaks one, a new one is up within a few days.

3 reasons mainly.
1- Incompetence.
2- They’re a source of income. Lots of bot sub money.
3- A lot of “NON ESSENTIAL” people were fired from their jobs. The ones dealing with these messes were those “NON ESSENTIAL” workers.

So i log to the game to farm some leather before reset i and saw same bot running around so i send another 20 reports in game i open another ticker and i send another email to hacks@blizzard at this point this one guy farming there for 24/7 made millions
You say incompetence but a quick google search will show that there is a bot available for 99% of all online games and not all of them are run by Blizzard.
It would be lovely if Blizzard were to move faster on eradicating bots but unless we can mass mind alter the gaming playerbase to not want to cheat then no matter what you do there are going to be bots/cheats/hacks available.
I think Blizzard should pre-emptively ban everyone who moves in the non-instanced world, just in case they’re a bot.
Also just blanket-ban everyone with a gathering profession. People who are innocent can just send an appeal and get unbanned about a week later.
So they can make back the money they lost from being banned to keep the botting in a state where it atleast pays out because the accounts are usually kept active through buying tokens from the gold farmed (which doesn’t cost actual money for the farmers) which inflates the demands for tokens
Reporting bots not do actually anything. Everyone can imagine howmany reports they can handle while loads of players reporting them. They sure can ban few bots now and then and sametime they investigate thousands reports shady sites rises new bots. Shady sites uses game own rules for their busines. Reporting bots won’t do anything only actually helps them cause now players spam Blizz also. Only way slow bots is that players not buy from shady sites anything.
Yeah I’m not sure about this either. I report the multiboxers farming materials, botting. Sometimes I’ve had ingame mail saying they’ve been banned and others (more, many more) haven’t.
And blizzard’s a multi million dollar company. There’s a certain level of expectation, when it comes to a game with a subscription monthly cost+ a full game price every 2 years.
If you can’t, then it’s called incompetence. It’s one thing having bots roaming around from time to time. It’s other to let them fester to this extent.
Amazing source of income for blizz, raise the player count drastically. As well as other key metrics like MAU, active accounts etc. Why would a corporation who’s main aim is higher revenue and profits, ban bots instantly. Do it in waves to get more subs, then ban waves for the PR.
Blizz don’t need to investigate thoroughly spending hours checking 1 botter. It’s extremely easy to detect a bot following the same paths, exact same response time for skills pressing etc. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and would be 100% impossible logs for a human being lol. A quick 5 econd glance at a botters logs is all it takes. Unless people can go 15 hours pressing 50,000 skills perfectly timed in the exact same order.
