We are not asking for a Horde race - please keep your precious Blood Elves, we don’t even want to touch those Fel-Light abominations with a stick.
We want a faction of Thalassian elves that have been in the Alliance ever since WoW was released.
If Void Elves are playable in the Alliance, a faction of Thalassian elves (whose population numbers are even inferior to those of HEs and whose lore is even closer to that of BEs), then High Elves with a different model and idle stance should definitely be playable, by all means.
There is no reason why High Elves couldn’t be added. They would be more credible than Void Elves (which are a fudge to give another elf race to players that isn’t High Elves).
That is true, there are some rather influential issues, that should be solved asap. Someone can say that new AR work to draw attention from them, though there are many departments, that control different aspects of the game, so I would not blame the ARs for the game’s current issues.
They are inside already, they are called Blood Elves.
Why Alliance won’t have them? Because their only difference is the eye color and Blizzard doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake of sharing one race with two factions (Pandaren)
So as an alternative solution the Alliance was given Void Elves which, in itself, is absurd as it is.
Your comment makes little sense.
I posted the link for the mega thread, the forum then uses the last comment posted in that thread to generate the thumbnail.
Incase you think I was commenting towards you in any way.
We have just seen Kul Tirans getting absolutely unique model. First it seemed that they could be related to Drusts, though ,as far as I know, apart from few Thornspeakers, Drusts did not joined Kul Tirans, but were most likely wiped out.
Anyway in the game most Kul Tirans use the regular human models and as much as someone can like the KT big models (myself included), the reasoning behind this is not strong and can be used as argument for other possible playable races as well, such as those who must not be named X)
Yeah it is just different name in elvish, all the elves are named is similar way: Kaldorei, Shaldorei, Quel’dorei, Sin’dorei even Fal’dorei etc (the suffix means children, os Kaldorei = children of the stars)… It also seems that this term have all the elven languages (dialects?) in common and use it.
There is more to this “Alliance won’t get High Elves” than just the issue of the model.
Many, many people claimed that they would race-change from BE to HE and I personally know a lot of those.
Why this is bad? The Blood Elves are the most popular Horde Race, split those and the Alliance/Horde ratio will be entirely screwed over if the people that made the promise to Race change actually go through with it.
I think Void Elves were a decent alternative to prevent that kind of situation.
Those, who wanted to play as Thalassian elf on the Alliance side already created/changed their chars to Void elves + ARs are locked behind rep grind and levelling on another character to get to farm that rep and do the unlockment scenario.
I do not want to go to details about different models and the reasoning behind it, since this is not the megathread, but it could solve the possible problems.
Enough of 'dorei, the only 'dorei we need is Beard’dorei, also known as dwarves. Also more beards for other races, you call that thing humans have a beard? Gah!
More beards! Humans, undead, orcs, taurens, “elveees”, even female dwarves! More beards!
