Why can't we buy raid loot from a vendor?

I’m not here to complain about pvp loot, I’m here to complain about PVE loot. Raid loot has been an issue, even with the old loot rate (x2 the drops in raids) I have been denied from getting the gear I want until we had the raid on farm. It’s not fun to get the trinket you want after you’ve been farming the raid for months.

I still remember my raiding times in Firelands. We cleared it on heroic (current mythic) and normal and I went through the whole tier without getting the Jaws of Defeat trinket, which was BiS for my druid healer. I just never got it, neither early in the tier nor late. I’m still mad about it 10 years later.

This happens over and over with many players and it’s simply not fun.

Pvp players are buying their loot from a vendor. They get to pick what they want. They also seem to be happy and not complaining about it. So why not apply this happy system to raids as well? Killing bosses gives you a currency and unlocks the boss loot for you to buy from a vendor. Did pvp players just quit pvp because of the happy loot?

PvP every match is different, different classes, specs, strategies, etc.

PvE is always the same mobs, maybe change routes a little bit here and there but it’s generally monotonous, thus with the removal of TF and WF they thought the low drop chances would make PvE interesting and fun.

Big mistake, personally I’m going back to LoL until WoW gets fun again.

Technically you can (weapons). I’m pro pve vendors but highly against being able to buy raid loot from them. The ilvl from vendors must to be lower than mythic bosses drop.

How is that related to rng loot vs loot you buy?

You buy a weapon when RNGzus blessed you and get a token drop for weapon which has nothing to do with how pvp vendor works.

You dont get a currency from PVE as you do in PVP and buy whatever item you want, its just a weapon drop from raid in form of a token.

What does exactly looks like the “vendor” to you that the OP is requesting and why bring up such irrelevant detail?

Yes and no…
You face the same comps and playstyles a lot.

Simple, if they don’t trick people into spamming dungeons and raids to get loot by lowering drop rates, players would quit due to lack of content.

Yes you face similar comps a lot of the times, but there’s also people playing random comps and games are different because players react different even if you face the same comp.

On the other hand PvE mobs always do the same attacks, same timers, etc.

I think he is trying to say that pve is much easier to farm for items. For pvp you still need a rank to+ conquest to buy the proper items and then insane amounts of honor just to upgrade them. In the time you got some basic honor gear farmed together and upgraded to 196 you could already have better gear trough pve.

Unless you farm battlegrounds 24/7 ofcourse. but otherwise doing some mythic + rewards from it still gives gear faster if you farm it and at a nicer ilvl as well
