So my concern is about the current situation of leather wearers problem. Crafting leather base items require much more effort than crafting tailoring and blacksmithing professions. There is a reddit post i will use as source to prove what it’s like:
Theraw materials for T4 leather gaunlets in legendary (reaching level(rank) 4) are:
- 7050 Callous Hide
- 8110 Desolate Hide
- 576 Orboreal Splitter (72000 gold just for a NPC vendor)
- 235 Soul Dust
So according to reddit post owner even he farmed for two days(7-8 hours of farming for a day) ho only reached 600 callous hide, and game wants us to get almost 10 times more than that. Also you cannot share the loot in leatherworking but tailoring can loot same mob.

So my friend got his rank 4 base item to his warlock for 20k gold from AH, on the other hand as a druid , have to pay 300k gold to get rank 4 legendary base item. And i cannot judge such huge price, cause leatherworkers must obtain an unimaginable amount of resources to reach rank 4 crafting. Imagine you are reaching rank 4 in each base item slot, this will be 13xTHIS HUGE AMOUNT OF RESOURCES(for callous hide this means 91.650 callous hide??). What’s the problem Blizzard? What do you suggest for leatherworkers? Sell boost runs? Get wow token? Quit wow?
This amount is huge, even getting rank 3 costs me 125k, and if i wanted to craft rank 4 in mythic week 2 i have to pay 300k more gold which equals 425k gold in just 2 weeks?
There must be a fix to reduce such amount of resources, this resource requirements are delusional…
