Why crash lightning is the only melee ability that works with 2 handed weapon?

Dont get me wrong im not againts this, since im a big fan of making 2 handed enha as an option, but whats the point only allowing one melee ability to work with?

Cause SS strikes with “both” weapons, and lava lash works with the off hand?

It’s not like either devs or many players care for this since we cannot use 2h weapons. Although a glyph to let people tmog 2h weapons for shamans would be welcome.

Im not sure why you guys keep insisting on a 2-handed Enh shaman…

Think about it : spells and resource generation tied to weapon damage and weapon swing speed need to be balanced.

Adding 2-hander would essentially be equivalent to making a 4rth shaman spec… and that is notoriously difficult to balance if you don’t have a complete talent tree to go with it.

I mean… it looks cool. But it dosent work from a gameplay perspective. They tried it with Hunters, Warriors, and DKs… but it did not work.

How about this : we ask blizzard to expand the transmog options such that we can mog 1-handers into 2-handers. That way you can look cool and simultaneously have a well balanced and rounded spec.

I would like that for my RShaman as well. I don’t like the esthetics of a 1-hander + shield. So I wonder if I could mog it to a 2-handed staff instead.

Frost DK with 2 hander is 4th spec?
Monks using 2 hander is 4th spec?
2handers and duel wielding is just stat sticks nowdays who share the exact same stats , yes attack speed is different but the output overall is the same , to balance recourse generation you just buff how much of it you generate or “Can generate” from a slower weapon simple just like the DK passive does.

It did work and it works till this day.

That’s a good option also just like Holy paladins can mog into their 2hander artifact.

Monks are a spec deliberately made to hit with fists (as the animation implies). None of its attacks are based of weapon damage.

So for THEM it is a stat stick.

Yes it is. It forces the talent Obliteration, while with DW you use breath of sindragosa loosing out a lot of performance in M+.

Therefore yes, its the 4th M+ spec. Too bad for those that want to DW in M+.

Plus legendary of course. Lets not forget that !

Not for warriors for example. ALL attacks are based on weapon damage…

So as you can see, you need mechanics and a talent tree to support this. You cant just slap in a 2hander and call it a day. You would need to overhaul Enh Shaman as it is today.

With funny interactions like WF totem. How would that work ? …

So IMO we should stick to transmogs.

Also, being able to mog 2h to 1h benefits all classes. Like a prot pala that wants a spear + shield sparta style. Or casters that prefer 1h + offhand instead of staff.

For everyone its a stat stick , just because their animation uses “Fists” doesn’t mean its not based of weapon damage what are you speaking about , its a stat stick for every spec in game unless abilities block you from using it with a 2hander or 1 hander.

Its not a 4th spec its frost spec with option to use a 2hander , when were you in dk forums past bazillion years? most of them hated DW breath of sindra meta to keep it up all the time , most of them asked blizz for 2hander back like it was in wotlk and not after wotlk when they forced them to use DW + Frost slaps with both 2hander and DW and it is done simply with a passive effect.

Dude you for real? all classes are based on wep dmg and stats from them are calculated from wep dmg(Melle).

Dk got overhaul for giving dks back 2hander? NO , they simply implemented a passive effect for when using dw or 2hander as simple as that to scale recource generation , there is too much explanation done in the forums about it but idk why you choose to ignore them.

Just as it work with any other class that you put WF totem for them what is that question?

for all i care it can be only Tmog or Working 2hander any of them will be good for me.
