I wonder, why Blizzard changed the icons for daily Quests from what was before to these new icons. And I’m especially interested to know why is the done daily icon blue and not yellow. Like whats the UX design behind that?
I really dislike those new icons too. I find the new lighter blue makes them really hard to see and the icons are also hard to tell if the quest has been picked up, completed or not.
Same with the new WQ icons on the world map… why pick a colour for them that is almost the same as the map background.
It’s not that you dislike the way they look, you dislike change. You got used to the way it was, and now it’s different.
You’ll get used to get after a few days.
It’s not impacting any aspect of the game apart from having to learn something new, which is minor in the grand scale of things.
Blizzard isnt very considerate to people that suffer from metathesiophobia.
They’re not considerate of people that suffer from Achondroplasiaphobia, but there are still Gnomes, Goblins, Dwarves and Vulparian in the game!
Unacceptable indeed!
God darned woke icons in my videurgaymz!! Ruining everything! Everything must be the same as 20 years ago!!!
And what about people who suffer from Ludectrophobia… what are Blizzard going to do about this???
Daily and repeatable quests have been blue since the Burning Crusade for sure. Probably to distinguish them from story quests more easily.
As for the icon change, as far as I know, it has something to do with accessibility. Colorblind people see a different iconshape more easily than a different colour.
It felt like small thing but I was also bothered that they were changed. After 20 years I dont understand why they had to change something so elementary part of the game as quest marks

I’m not against changes in general. The game has to evolve and there is tons of things that can be improved. However this icon is not one of that.
What problem does it solve?
The marker’s goal is to let u know the state of the quest. Before the change I had no trouble distinguishing the states from miles away. Now Its just not as clear - wrong UX.
If thats the reason, then I’d expect it to be part of the colorblind settings and not a default for everyone. I’m not colorblind and now I have a trouble understanding the icon
