Why did sylvanas burn down teldrassil?!

Sylvanas says “If you want your enemy to bleed to death, you inflict a wound that cannot heal”, she is NOT talking about wounding the alliance, in fact, she was talking about hurting Nzoth, as we see in 8.2, by gathering essences for healing azeroth and then giving the neck to azshara by ““mistake”” as she takes its powers. Also, sargeras put the sword to wound azeroth and sylvanas realized why he did that to kill the old gods! So she burnt down teldrassil! So, by burning down teldrassil she has wounded nzoth for him to not return in full power but had to bear the consequences of the war with the alliance because she knows the night elves will not be willing to burn down their own tree that was also giving life to nzoth.

Finally put it all together and knew why she actualy took the step in taking over teldrassil!!!

You welcome ya’ll, cant wait to know what you guys think and if you agree or disagree with what im saying!

Because she’s a crazy power-hungry unstable zombie.

Personal conspiracy. She really ain’t giving crap about the war. Or winning it. Not even trying. Just keeping it going as long as possible to distract the world from her true goals, which remain unknown.

  1. Why would she know about N’zoth’s activities, if no one else knew?
  2. How would she know that burning the tree would hurt him in a serious way?
  3. Why wouldn’t she share that with her faction and prefer to be seen as a psychopath going crazy?
  4. Why would she have to burn the civilians to burn the tree?
  5. I fear we have Sylvanas’ point of view in the novella A good War. And she clearly sees burning Teldrassil as an alternative plan to killing Malfurion, to inflict a wound that cannot heal to the Alliance.

So… l’m sorry, but this theory still has many holes.

I’d like to think that thus chaos, war and death were necessary to sort of Stir Nzoth since it is stated Old Gods feast on chaos.

Much like how illidan teleported Argus in our face to expose it and was like “we gotta deal with it now”, I believe Sylvannas did it to expose Nzoth.

There is no way to tell your faction “yeah we need a few thousand deaths and mayhem to awaken an Old God and kill it” lol, cause much like how Khadgar was initially and most of the boring justice people think that prolonging the inevitable somehow changes anything and wouldnt agree.

Just like how if illidan told them what he would do they wouldnt agree. Khadgar wanted to just close the Legion portal and cut them off, but that wouldnt save the problem once again.

But you know that ot was an other scenario, don’t you?

Because Blizzard believed it was cool and failed to realize the ramifications that such an event would have, for both factions and the story they wanted to tell.

How does burning Teldrassil hurt N’zoth?

I think it has something to do with the World Trees having a connection between the Emerald Dream and the real world. A YouTuber talked about this in a theory, don’t remember his name but he was on about how burning down the tree shut the path between the dream and the real world, so N’Zoth can’t get to us since the access to the real world from the dream is no longer available.

It was something along those lines, I honestly don’t think that’s why Sylvanas burnt down the tree or that it has much to say when it comes to N’Zoth influencing us.

Well, the corruption of Teldrassil was removed by Malfurion in “Stormrage”. The remnants of that corruption was removed by the player in game, and the Emerald Nightmare was then removed during Legion. Even if that was her plan, it was pointless.

Yeah exactly, that’s why the theory didn’t make much sense to me and why I don’t think that was Sylvanas’ plan. Pretty pointless indeed if that was her plan.

She didn’t tell that “oh so noble plan” to her allies and the Alliance because…?

She didn’t order an evacuation before “purging the corruption” because…?

Because it seems that she was too busy.
