Why did you choose the race of your character? Did you like the faction, was it the way they look? Maybe you prefer their racial?

Just because female Draenei are gorgeous compared to all other races
Void Elf’s are just better at everything. And we have much nicer hair than all of you washed up Blood Elf’s.
Originally when I started this character there was only one option available for Paladins on the Horde. So I made a female belf. At the time I only played female characters, now I have both male and female. However it would feel wrong to change this to another race. It’s what she started as.
I have one of every race paladin on my account as M and F, not done a male Earthen yet but there is time for that.
Shadowmeld into stealth. Ez life.
It was the only option for shaman back in TBC. Now i’ve played her for so long i could never swap race on her. Draenei is my favourite alliance race anyways luckily. The females that is, the males look horrible.
Tusks!
But seriously, I like the aesthetics, animations and voice work. And getting to be Casey Jones with tusks.
Orcs have a storied history with fel and demons, and also Gul’dan was a huge influence on my character.
Gnome Prot Warrior is funny.
i change every 6 months main and race. normally i choose the race fitting with mogs.
I played almost every races except goblins but my preferred are belves.
Initially a blood elf because I like high elves.
Currently a void elf because I like high elves.
Have you seen a troll? What other option is there after that?
The most unique playable race in WoW.
Great racials, cool lore, can actually pull off the gear that drops in the numerous troll themed instances.
We just need forest trolls and their swole-bois now.
Started as a night elf and even dragged hardcore horde players into being alliance just so I can be the best race.
Now, of course, I had to try the smol cool elves too. As much as I adored night elves I couldn’t lie and say they had the best options. I tried my first blood elf death knight, unlocked void elves and made my first(of many) priest. Sure, shadowlands helped but transmog only got worse. Shoulders, boots, many pants - I really started getting jealous. Some time into Shadowlands I made friends with a horde guild. Outside of the fact their leader is now my favourite person in life, I had communities to go to if I went horde.
My alliance guild started having dramas, people using the officer chat to talk about raiders in both nyalotha when we did mythic and then in Nathria. Got tired, left, became horde and many friends followed. I had a night elf army with some void elves so now I had to make a horde army. 2 patches later I can play cross-faction. From then on I’m playing void elves, exclusively. My favourite voices, though vulpera&pandas r really cute and get close. My favourite hairstyles. Best transmog options among them all. The course was clear. Now every character that can be a void elf is a void elf. We’ll one day get paladins and demon hunters too! (Unless they somehow make me love another race more again)
I had no choice when it came to lizard wizard buff class, lol.
Otherwise I roll Dark Iron Dwarf wherever I can because they are grumpy af just like me and I like their racial being like an enrage, removing debuffs and giving a good mainstat buff like “All right, enough of this bs!”
The tesco value mage portal (aka mole machine) is also handy.
I like purple.
Agree brother
I’m introverted and love to take long walks in nature.
I think dwarves are really epic in the story. My second choice would be orc. Night elves, void elves, blood elves, etc. are also cool, but void elves and Nightborne don’t really have a thematically fitting tank class, so I don’t play them.
My main currently is an Earthen, but I regret it due to the voice.
Always been Human, because it just looks good
wish shamans could be human though…
not a fan of dwarf shammys
