Yeah but u can turn staffs into maces. I love wearing Sulfuras cus it looks hawt, I dont care that it makes no sense cus im resto ms. I put Flames of Ragnaros on it as the finishing touch.
staffs look badass on shamans.

Oh god I can’t agree with you more. After playing bfa for 4 months I finally got a weapon out of my garbage M+ chest only for it to be staff.

Just so we are able to get some variety in what transmogs we can use!
Got some staves and 2h maces I would like to use as a transmog, haven’t equipped a staff for months now though 
Got a 450 Seabreeze with a socket from the weekly chest but it’s effectively worthless 
. Gimme a mace or shield for crap’s sake.
I dunno, I mean if the staff is a higher dps gain then ur 1handed+shield then why not use it 
I get the defence and all but tbh prolly not entirely requirement in pve atleast.
My shaman has a staff on currently but I haven’t had any issues because of it tbh
Although I do prefer 1handed+shield aesthetically so I wouldn’t be against its removal.
It might not be a requirement to use shield but it’s a massive defensive bonus. With that in mind they should just remove staves from the elemental shaman loot table.

Well I do agree there. But I don’t think the defence boost is rly needed
I levelled my shaman with the 2handed staff and crushed everything easily. I think elemental shamans are more known for not using staffs. But overall I don’t think the defence is the issue.
I think it’s just more cosmetically the staff doesn’t fit the class, however it’s been out there to reduce the strictness of drops for us I guess
It’s like giving a plate wearer an opportunity to wear leather or cloth. “Oh, your Holy Paladin really looks awesome in this leather set! It doesn’t matter if you take 30% more physical dmg as long as you look so cool.”
Blizzard, don’t be so lazy! If 2H staves/maces drop for Shaman, add bonus armor + 10% block to them, to be on pair with shield.
While staff doesn’t feel like shaman fantasy, people saying that staffs are useless are being narrow minded. One of the best weapons for Orgozoa for example is the staff from Azshara. Staves also provided good stats in the past for instanced PvE content.
Should we have 2h weapons removed? Don’t think so, from a collectors point of view, there are many people that spent lots of time collecting transmogs and would be a shame, if we lost them.
Staffs/2H maces for Ele/Resto Shaman are just a lazy design and that’s it. Why every single caster in this game could use staves? It’s so hard to get a weapon in BFA and when you finally get one it’s a 2H mace. Two weeks later a Staff drops. I mean staffs should only be there for cosmetic purposes. Transmoging 1h + shield into a staff should work just fine.
If you like staves play a Mage, Warlock, Priest, Druid or Monk.
What we will see next? Wands and non shield off hands? A leather/cloth gear for Shamans? Because we really don’t care much about armor, right?
I am moving to my Enhancement. At least i won’t be getting useless weapons for my spec.
Disagree. If a staff provides me with higher dps, I gladly give up the extra survivability from a shield for it - mainly for raiding, but I don’t even mind it in open world content.
Darlings you can turn a staff into a 2h mace transmog and have a Sulfuras transmog. I love this weapon, even more now I have the 15th anniversary Raggy statue omg. Sulfuras and Resto ms is a bit contradicting, esthetics though.
