Why do Anodized deflectors drop for dps?

Why does the worst item in BFA drop for dps? Anodized deflectors seem to have no actual purpose. As ret, they don’t give stats so they are useless, as holy same story. As prot i would much rather use an item with haste instead of a trashy on-use that is unreliable and worthless.

What is the reason it still drops for dps? from dungeons or m+ chests or otherwise? is it a bug perhaps?

Then it’s plain dumb :frowning:

The worst item in the game…meh…

Just wait till it Warforges Avoidance, and it also procs an Avoidance Corruption.

When i got them few months ago with Glimpse of Clarity corruption from the weekly chest i wanted to throw my computer out of the window. Then i got them again few weeks later…

the question isn’t why it drops for dps but rather why is it in the game? Why is My’das talisman? Or weapons with stat combinations that no specc needs? There simply are crap items in the game.

I agree it shouldn’t be on ret/holy loot table, but it’s not a useless tank item. The avoidance boost makes for a notable defensive against stuff like Wrathion/Vexiona’s breaths, Vexiona’s add’s blast, and Il’gynoth’s tank nuke. 465 bracers give nearly 17% avoidance, on a mere 30 second cooldown.

What’re Anodized Deflectors?

I got a pair of these in my weekly chest once, just useless.

To expand the loot pool and give you less chance at receiving actual good items for your spec

It’s for the dps that think they can pull before the tank.

It should have flavour text saying ”Good luck!”
