Does anyone actually enjoy playing with BoS? I have never heard anyone say they prefer it over obliterate and it is probably the most degenerate playstyle in the entire game. “lemme just press this one button and if I am forced to move away for a second the next 2 minutes my dps wont exist anymore”. Feels like youre actively fighting against the game design every single second while playing it, the game wants you to react to mechanics but youre not allowed to because you cant afford to not be on the boss for 2 seconds.
I’ve heard the DK Discord do, alot of people said their Bias towards BoS on there. never been on there myself though. i did rather enjoy it when i played DK.
I’ve been on the DK discord but this was back in SL, there were quite a few people vouching for BoS but honestly I am not surprised. The class discords are usually full of people who live for min/max, sims and number crunching so I can imagine they get some enjoyment out of figuring out how to maintain maximum uptime.
To me it just feels so bad because youre playing a melee with absolutely awful mobility that requires 100% melee uptime to deal what is ultimately pretty mediocre damage and god forbid you drop BoS early because you will be below the healer on the dps meter if you do. Just seems like so much work/risk for so little reward when I could just play DH and unga bunga on my keyboard and top the dps charts while also being mega mobile with 0 ramp up time

I love the BoS playstyle. I just wish it wasn’t as punishing as it is, when you lose BoS… Would be nice if it had a slightly reduced cooldown, maybe 1,5 min or 2 charges.
A way to put it on hold would be neat too, so, as you stated, in case there is an interphase or some mechanic you are forced to dodge, it doesn’t completely gut your dps.
You’re also incredible reliant on a tank who is able to chain pull in M+, if you want any shot at keeping it up for more than 1 pack, which is kinda yikes game design.
And even if you manage to keep it up and play perfectly at all times throughout a M+, you’re still below the other dps’ due to Frost DK being below average, as usual.
