It’s true, you have to take out momma mammoth and the kids, then take poppa out too though he’s elite, but that hardly helps him.
So I’m out there slaughtering families because it’s the shaman alchemist way apparently but at least I get to learn how to make better potions and earn some cash. It’s too real for a fantasy game.
Next step is running over animal rights activists with bulldozers xD
Anyway, it’s not the shadiest thing in WoW by a long stretch, but it is funny to think about

No clue. I oppose the idea of working in a video game, so I never leveled up a profession.
Whilst I’m fully against killing animals in the real world for anything other food, it is just a game at the of the day and the best bit is … they respawn! 
So do they even actually die?

This, please. I’d like something to do with alchemy, but we seem to have a quest that is more suited for skinners or leatherworkers.
Other ideas: collect some water/lava samples by using a gizmo on slimes and elementals, scrape lichen off some rocks, gather sticks and leaves from trees in each of the zones, one of those “throw the reagents into the pot” quests, collecting decay samples from gnolls (not the elite ones!), gather ice from high peaks, catch a specific fish in a certain location.
Not every quest has to be “kill N mobs”.
I much prefer the quest where we throw docile puppies into cauldrons.
I don’t. I only target aggressive animals without cubs. Or even avoid those quests. Someone in Blizzard loves animal violence.
By now you probably have committed mass murder in this game. Have a look at your statistics 
I seriously don’t understand how you can come up with these non issue out of thin air while the game has serious bugs
But I can understand the 3th time in a row which is probably quite boring.
try to do the hemet nesingwary achievement while doing hunts
there’s an achievement to find the ‘disgruntled hunter’ during every hunt
he complains and expresses his dissatisfaction of how the centaur do hunting
he prefers the mass slaughter approach 
Personally i always loved the quests of go collect X amounts of hearts … And then not every mob having a heart??? Like what?
Immagine, every class is quite destructive
It is totally in the realm of possibilites that magic or simply brute force destroys the part you need beyond useless
to skin somehting you have to kill it first and one mob gives 2-3 leather, ore is everywheere and you just have to loot, giving 5-7 ore at once, so yeah, ore is easier to come by, much.
