Once again I got kicked from MOTHERLODE due to some newbies not knowing how to run between rails. Apparently I was “retarded” when my friend and I made it without a single explosion, but all of the DPS failed (and insta released, so we couldn’t revive them)
Now we are left with 30 min “suspension” because some people don’t know 5+ year old skips.
Why do we get this debuff? What purpose does it serve? Also please make the kick reasons public record. I want to know who accused me and for what and I want to be able to inspect characters and see what reasons they give. You’d think calling me “retarded” for playing the game would cause at least the same 30 minute suspension for them as I got.
Not everyone played 5 years ago (and i did and timed it on at least +22 but i do not even know about what skip you talk).
The purpose is that you learn to not skip sketchy stuff. Just press W and pull a bit more than really needed. You win more time doing things steady than taking risks.
If you want to avoid it in the future, you must be clearer on what you are doing and why. Use markers, tell the group in chat why and how. Then you can go for it.
You will know if the group knows beforehand, based on how they play, but don’t expect people to have played 5+ years ago. Many doing low content have not done so.
Now, I would also presume you had some attitude, as you do stress points like ‘you should know such an old skip’ lines in your thread. So I might be wrong. Still, I do believe it is likely, so look to fix that as well.
Personally, I have never been kicked without actually being at fault with my own actions/inaction. I take it on the chin, even if I ‘feel’ they are doing something inefficient/stupid.
For I remember; most play for FUN, me doing that stuff is not FUN for them, it is simply confusing and annoying. Understandably so
Why do people HAVE to know 5+ year old skips? It is your job as a tank to keep the group alive. Stop complaining about deserter debuff and do your job.
Did you even tell them you were going to do a skip? If you didn’t do you think they read minds? So the majority decided to kick you deal with it.
I told them to follow me, they did not. They did not ask any clarifications just instant kick. Also as mentioned they also instantly released - my friend was healing and could have resurrected them, but alas that is impossible when players are new.
If the game is suppose to be fun then why is it OK to ruin my fun? I want separate queue for veterans so we can have our fun and the new friends can do whatever they want.
In all reality just sucks that carrying newbies gets 30 minute suspension. From now on I will just kill the first boss so at least I wont get the timer and hope for better players.
I told them to follow me, they ran around. No they don’t have to know anything, but also why was their first reaction to call me names and kick me and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. There is no way to report the kick reason since that is not even presented to the person who got kicked and since they didn’t speak at all there is no record of their names or realms anyway.
If I tell someone to follow me to somewhere I don’t expect them to walk in my footprints which is almost the line you have to thread to make that skip. “Follow me” can be a generic “come this way” and usually is.
So grats, to save 5 seconds you caused all this drama. Champion skip.
