Why do most alliance think "just defend now" is a good strategy?

Just defending means you’re allowing the enemy to regroup, and then all strike one base while your team is spread out and they don’t have to worry about defending. In a base game where we’re slightly losing there’s nothing I would like more than for the enemy to just defend and do zero offense.

Idk about most, but usually I’d hear ’just defend now’ when we have, say 3 out of 5 bases.
If you’re only slightly behind on pts, you’ll easily catch up by defending what you have. If you push, you risk providing the weak-spot the enemy should be looking for.
It’s a gamble & there’s definitely a time to push, if you have the momentum & confidence in your team.

Because sometimes you lose for beeing greedy.

There’s absolutely no reason to push all 5 bases (example) in AB,if you can with only 3 in 1 minute.

Random bg games are pure hell anyway, people zerging and making game last for 40 minutes, instead of 15.

Running as group, caping without defending at least until base is yours,is so brainless and idiotic,it literally makes 0 sense.

This is every AB scenario,on both sides, but this is horde example.

Horde cap LM and move to ST.By the time they get to ST,LM has been re-cap by ally.Horde zerg to GM,while ally re-cap ST.

Horde rush to cap LM again, while ally re-cap GM.

Horde then again rush to ST,while ally cap FARM and re-cap LM.

Horde again zerg to GM,while ally re-cap ST.

15 min into game, and both sides have only 30 points.

All of this could be avoided if people actually used at least 01% brain capacity.

This is just sad when you take into consideration wow has been around since 2004,and most people who play it are old timers who were supposed to know at least basic stuff by now.

Let them win ©

true that half the groups dont even know what the objective is much less do it properly
or even care because fighting on the road of the dps meters more important to them?
in classic and in retail

So in a situation in AB where you have 2 bases and the enemy team has 3, you think it would be harder for you to win if the enemy waits at their bases spread out with zero offense instead of striking your 2 remaining bases and putting you on the defense?

In a random bg yes, its much harder
