They dont they stop
The bigger question is why lurk on forums for a game they don’t like.
They dont they stop
The bigger question is why lurk on forums for a game they don’t like.
Well that one’s easy: Because they still have a shred of hope that it will be better and they’re looking for signs that it WILL.
Little late for that with the mass neutering of the game. Hah
Take your pick:
-wow is a unique case where these is so much dead gameplay (e.g. flying, waiting for rares or time between pulls) that it opens itself for people to go trigger happy on the forums in the meantime. I am in fact flying on a long-ish griffin flight as of writing this and while other games might also have issues, there isnt as much downtime for forum browsing.
-not everything in the game is a disaster.
-its all in pespective: people playing the game 24/7 in the past are now keeping subs out of habit and just logging in a few times a week. Still players and forum participants in Blizzard’s book but no good news if a no-life gamer decided your game isnt worth playing as much.
-implying that every should just shut up and quietly vote with their wallet if unhappy, also has the argument of a race to the bottom by justifiying subpar service (in this case regarding WOW). Nevertheless, its no secret that numberwise WOW has declining playerbase so this is sort of happening anyway.
-people can subconsciously take the “faceless” forum complainers as being the same vocal minority and not as individuals that come and go with time. In other words, people that might have bombarded the forum back in say MoP might be gone by now, replaced by others.
Would you happen to have a PC, by any chance, that (metaphorically) snores while it’s running WoW… like, “C’mon… gimme summat to do!”…?
You’ve got to be in it… to complain about it!
If you are a customer of a tripple A company’s online game with subscription you expect something
I expected my healer-spec to be hotfixed for pvp ( didn’t happen
that made me realise that im not part of the target-audience
i keep playing from time to time to beat time, its fun
So; your compulsion to play is not something you’re in any hurry to stop, because you have no willpower to drag yourself away from - what is effectively - an addiction?
This comes across from a lot of the whiners I see on the Forums… and it’s a sad indictment of 21st Century humanity.
Aye… people should play WoW because they WANT to, not because they HAVE to.
Sadly, Blizzard is holding these innocent people and their families at gunpoint. When they press the button to cancel their subscription, the gun goes off. It’s a sad reality.
In all seriousness, some people just really love to complain and threaten everyone that they’re going to be quitting. Then they’ll go back to their pet battles or whatever and play happily.
Probably addicted
I used to enjoy farming mounts from old raids/dungeons etc. with some exceptions (looking at you Siege of Orgrimmar). However now all that I have left are the more annoying mounts. Soundless archivist Paragon box etc. and there really is little fun to be had. Guess I am just addicted to mount collecting at this point.
The only thing I actually enjoy in this game is pvp(random and epic bgs) . This is the one activity I spam without caring if the rewards are worth it or not.
Looks behind himself.
Sees a Blizzard employee pointing a gun at him.
Laughs because its only a Nerf Gun.
The gun suddenly gets replaced with fruit.
Because of the addiction or the boredom in their life, sometimes both.
Why do People keep working if they dont enjoy their job?
Cuz we love to suffer.
I hate this game in my guts but I play it with 2 payed accounts atm.
I love most of the content so far. 9.1.5 is going to be even better.
Mostly to stay in touch with a few guild members whom I have no contact with outside of the game.
You can call it crying or anything else you people want, the fact is players like me for example gonna keep “crying” on the forum because I got 16 years invested into this game. This was a huge part of my life and I wont regret a thing, as a kid I was in love with the Tolkien universe, right before WoW came out.
Sadly, the lore of WoW went sideways in the past few years, and suddenly some californian woke sunshine xyz gender developer comes in with his toxic views + insane ideas. Instead of fixing the godamn game which is in a very sorry state, they are removing stuff from the game
And this practice is disgusting, they are more focused on useless things rather than the important ones.
It’s just really sad to watch this game going down in flames. Well, nothing lasts forever.
Sadly I stll got a few months subs left, like 90% of my guild stopped playing already so not much I can do… just reading the topics like these on the forums
Hmm, I mean…being able to afford food, a roof over my head, clothes on my back are somewhat trivial reasons, I suppose.
why do smokers keep smoking when they’re broke?
why do alcohol consumers keep drinking when they’re feeling hungover in the morning?
why do gamblers gamble when they’re losing money?
HMMM mysteries of human existence
