To be fair, why does it matter, some play for fun, some out of habit, it’s not down to any one individual!

I stopped raiding in MoP, as irl time constraints became prevalent, but I still play doing other things, every month I wonder if I could take a break, sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.

My 6 month sub runs til January, so I’m here for a while longer!

At the moment I’m logging in to WoW for two things only: getting the weekly renown on my three most played characters; and raiding twice per week.

We’re about to hit max renown so I won’t need to do weekly stuff anymore - I’m trying to decide whether I want to drag my “main Kyrian” character through Korthia to have one from each covenant at max renown, but at the moment I doubt I’ll do that.

My guild got Curve earlier this week but people are still keen to raid so I’ll still be logging in for raids. We might do alts instead now, which is fine. Raiding and playing with my lovely guildies is my favourite thing in WoW, so I’m happy to keep doing stuff like that which I enjoy and just avoid all the other stuff which I don’t like.

I think a lot of people treat WoW like a toxic ex they can’t seem to fully accept has gone, and they keep going back to them thinking they’ve changed, when in reality they’ve gotten worse.

Why do I still play? mostly for casual BGs. Love doing a BG

Also the majority of my complaints are them doing dumb stuff like trying to bait the classic players back with downgrading callings into dailies, i dont blame them for trying, but i blame them for not reverting something thats obviously a step back

I ask myself the same, everytime I see a thread whining about anything about the game… the current ‘goings on’ are a prime reason why the ‘offended’ need to delete their characters & game installations… but many younger players these days don’t seem to have been born with the ability to walk away from unpleasant situations.

Hello fellow gamers, i was Just Wondering what keeps so many players to the game, when they clearly starte that they really dont enjoy it in its current state?

Simple, they don’t. A lot of people quit WoW recently.

Just a few weeks ago I would do 15-20 keys per week at least, now I struggle to find the motivation to just do one weekly key. Sub runs out in 25 days, not gonna pay anymore until they treat M+ players better and I’m not talking about a title for the 0.1% who already push keys for the rio and not for a title.

I wanna see cross faction PVE, actual class balance, deterministic and targetable items and just less RNG BS in general.

Oh god I don’t know, something called WAITING/HOPING for change come the next patch. Especially if they’ve played the game for years or committed many hours to a char in which they especially want to WAIT/HOPE for positive change come the next patches.

“But why not stop playing until next patches?”, because they still have to maintain or keep up character progression for a POSSIBLE good patch.

I like it that’s why i am playing it , i didn’t like the general direction of the game since activision got it ,that’s another topic.

As for most people who complain , i think they still are in love with the game , they can’t understand the fine line of letting it go if it doesn’t fill their hearts anymore .

Im Just doing the same as i have Been for the last few expansions, which is getting my ksm done, play some arena/rbg with friends for either 2.1 or 2.4, but not really getting bothered where i end up as Long as i Can enjoy the game with friends

I don’t like M+, so that’s out. I have progressively started to dislike PvP more every expansion since MoP so that’s out. Even leveling bgs got ruined, so that’s out. Pretty much all of my old friends quit, and people tend to be more anti-social in game content modes that a ‘casual player’ would do which is say world quests, norm/heroic dungeons, maybe LFR, and random bgs…

Yeah, if I wanted to do BGs or rated arena, I’d have to grind out renown, legendaries, the maw, and all sorts of currency to be able to ‘participate’ on anywhere close to equal footing.

I honestly just roleplay in retail, and I do random stuff in Classic though honestly hardly anything there anymore because they ruined leveling and all with boosts. Ruined PvP with changes, and the community and how they play in 2021 ruined the rest.

I’m mostly doing Pet Battles, mog & mount collecting from old dungeons / raids and old achievements. I might go do Argus now that it feels so much better than the Maw. I’ve neglected professions for a few expansions so I guess I’ll go catch up on those.

I started on the Insane title last year so might finish that off at some stage.

Of the current content I’m doing the mission table once a day so I can get the rewards (mounts and mogs) and doing the Korthia Shaping Fate weeky mostly for the Death’s Advance Rep just for getting another rep.
I have the Korthia gear mostly at 220, doubt I’ll get it to 233 and I’m not quite rank 4 and the can’t imagine ever getting to rank 6 unless 9.1.5 is a sea change in codex acquisition.

I’m highly unlikely to buy the next expansion as most of what I’m doing now I could have done without buying shadowlands. They’ll have to be quite persuasive to get my $$ next time.
