Just did a LFG dungeon run with a few decent people and there was this DK who kept yammering all dungeon about how this isn’t good or how useless everyone is.
I told him that it was his fault he died at Keristrasza for not jumping on time, to which he starts telling me the basics of tick mechanics and calling me a retard for not understanding his explanations . . .
Well clearly I don’t know ANYTHING about tick mechanics since I was literally the only dps who survived the fight and I am genuinely a god damned retard, whose mother dropped them as a baby and whose nan slapped them every day.
99% of people can’t handle their emotions (both negative and positive) and the easiest way to get rid of them is to transfer them to others through insults and aggression the bigger expectations you have the more negative feeling you get when you get disappointed ;]
Some people like to think they are better players than they actually are, that is often down to negative mindsets like being egotistical.
Small minded people resort to insults when challenged with the truth.
In this situation I would personally suggest working on learning not to be bothered by those people. Take a positive approach, flip the dialogue. To something along the lines of maybe:
“I did good, always the last one alive. I knew what to do and I did my very best throughout. What anyone does or doesn’t do isn’t my problem. I am only responsible for myself and my own actions. No negative person is going to bother me or get me down, I’m above that.”
I had the opposite experience sadly but you never know with some people this was just bad luck situation with the op a fluke group if you will so it gets better.
As an Alliance player I’d say this isn’t all so accurate. XD
Whether you play as a DPS, Tank or Healer there will be a few dungeons where some idiot will mess up and cause a wipe, pin the blame on others for their own stupidity and insult them or even kick them from the group. And I call them idiots because of their behavior, not because of the fact that they messed up to begin with.
Especially online communities. Everyone are so entitled, with huge egos, thinking they’re the best in the world, but as soon someone disagrees, they turn into unstable, psychotic, hateful misersble cnuts. So much poison and acid in them.
Im hanging around these forums for a couple of days and already met lots of those
Internet anonymity throws common courtesy out the window.
Couple this with the times of entitlement where everyone wants to have things the way THEY want.
Basically; Some people are jerks because they get away with it and suffer no consequences for acting that way.
Last wrath tw I was running utgarde pinnacle with a pug grp. There was this demon hunter who just kept running off and pulling at one point he pulled a boss and while it was rp’ing he ran to the next boss and pulled that one he died of course and started to get really aggressive at us. He just carried on repeating this over and over in the end we had enough and voted him out.
He then started to whisper the leader stating he was a YouTuber his been playing since vanilla we are all noobs then the really really nasty language started so he was ignored and reported I found one of his videos the other day ranting he was suspended for a few days lol . So ignoring and in serious cases reporting works.
Or say something in your own language just to troll them back and pretend like you don’t speak English that will deter them back lol.In my case I speak in Serbian on purpose when someone is randomly toxic and they shut up instantly they assume I don’t speak English something along the lines of и ја теби(same to you) they don’t know what that means and don’t talk anymore lol.
On the alliance side, this happens much less frequently. On the horde side it is constantly. Constantly someone leaves the group and swears at each other after each wipe.
Sometimes in dungeons (when I play for the alliance), such stupid wipes (I’m talking about the most unusual wipes) happen that even I is ready to yell (but I don’t do that) about how you can be so stupid and aggro these mobs or die from this AOE. But often the chat is empty, no one say anything about such wipes. But for the horde, people often start yelling at each other because of any wipe.
The only reason why I leveled more than 1 maximum level character for the alliance in the BFA is the fact that the alliance players are more calm and kind. Playing for the alliance is more comfortable. Although for the alliance, I sometimes see evil children. Now I have 7 characters for the alliance and I will level up a few more alts later. But I also continue to play for the horde (because I don’t have some classes for the alliance atm), but I play for the horde much less often now.
