I think perhaps, like some RDF players should read some guides, that you should also read most of the replies in this thread.
I can’t seem to see anything remotely resembling elitism besides the guide stuff.
Quote the elitist statements please.
I might have some of the people in this thread blocked on the forums.
Dude I run one FoS a day and would have to go extremely out of my way to find a mechanic to die to. Maybe not iceblocking the mirror debuf on last boss?
Anyway, I level an alt healer in 70s range, tank in 60s range and dps all the way from 15 to 49 so far, and have seen literally none of the problems people are complaining about, except for people not talking at all for any reason ever. I even had a tank run ahead and die twice so far on my healer when both my pot and innervate were on cd, and both times they apologized for tunnelvisionig.
I’ve even done some gammas with low geared guildies and seen no toxicity, if the pugs don’t like our pace/performance, they just leave without saying a word, which is perfectly fine by me.
And you can call me elitist or rotten or zoomer all you want, I still find the complainers that the game is not like it was in 2005 far more annoying than the supposed “toxic” people in RDF gamma.
It seems some people are (most likely deliberately) misunderstanding my original point. Some of the conclusions that are being drawn from my opening are pretty funny.
Let me rephrase:
I have absolutely no problem with dungeon runs being fast paced, I prefer it that way. I’m not implying I need every LFD group I ever end up in to be 100% prepared for every encounter, drink between every pull, and use every cd they have at all times. I don’t want dungeon runs to be like vanilla, or I’d play vanilla.
What I DO have a problem with, is tunnel-visioned, arrogant people who are often too busy staring at their damage meter addons to even take a second to understand what is actually going on in terms of dungeon mechanics. They’re not complicated at all, yet a lot of people just don’t care to the point where they die to the most obvious things, and never learn from it.
I’m surprised at how much of a controversial opinion that seems to be. Since so many of us prefer fast, smooth runs, would understanding even the most basic dungeon mechanics not make that a whole lot easier?
Just ego pumped creeps sweating over dps meters trying to fill their void
So you don´t like noobs/ bad players? Not many people do. Was that worth the thread? Probably not.
So you have no reading comprehension skills, and will deliberately misunderstand my point even after me spelling it out twice? Seems many people do. Was that worth the message? Probably not.
I have absolutely zero problem with bad players. There is nothing wrong with not knowing dungeon mechanics, as long as you are willing to learn. Arrogance, willful ignorance and defending it, is the problem. Which is exactly what you and several other people in this thread are displaying, proving my point over and over again.
Well to be honest, I did not bother to read the majority of your post. People can get the gist of it from the comments. I only see caps something something and some censored stuff in the end. Tells me all i need to know really. That it´s just another whine topic which we so clearly need more of.
Now that… {sip}… that was a good game. BRD without anyone in the party having the key? Peak adventure.
This was absolutely not tongue in cheek and while written in a memey way it is absolutely true.
Tbh i have 0 clue whats going on in most dungeons i just press W and spam seeds on cd asap. Killing mirrors for example is healers job i dont see any reason why should i do that. If healer os able to do his job then dungeons such as nexus are Faster and everyone profits. At this point you overgear most of the content. If you die due to low gearscore you simply kick the guy cos hes obblviously trolling.
Killing mirrors is everyone’s job, the faster they die the faster you stack the buff and the less damage a group takes. Making the healer do it alone is grief and stupidity.
I just spam my ice lance macro, the less people also do that the better for me, I get all the stacks of mirror buff. Never in my life have I seen a healer target them. Some dps beside me sometimes do.
Wdym you stack it once and it never drops till the end.
man u describeing thos Gamma Mechanics like som kind of MEGA HARD thinks… healer dont have infinite mana ? a lot of them actually do … i bet u are kind of person that moove with second boss in Oculus bcs its FROST ON THE GROUND … ( doing like 1k dmg WOW… thats so unheallable…) By reading ur posts U DESERVE every Kick u had … kek git gut
You need to relax, and learn to drink and move. No one needs to be 100% mana in a dungeon, you just need to not be 0%.
Spend most dungeons on my healers popping mana pots constantly and getting 4/5 ticks of water if no mana regen CD, then moving again.
Very rarely am I 100% mana. This is a skill issue on your part.
Healer in dungeons <—
You get mana pots in your little boxes, use them.
Utilise your mana return abilities.
Random groups, random people, random reactions to random things.
Its so random, how can i remove the randomness. I wonder.
