In like 9/10 runs, I have to use drums because the guy playing a class with heroism isn’t pressing the button.
Can’t we just make it a button that the group leader presses?

Tell them before run starts when u want them to use it then, problem solved.
The leader did. He was spamming “hero” too during the boss.
This.
Also I’m more concerned about some DPS players not using their interrupts.
Tbh a lot of people aren’t gonna understand what hero means. I personally just say BL, but for some players especially new ones you probably have to specify the ability like Time Warp.
Same thing in normal bgs, people don’t know how to use hero/bl.
Took me ages to find out what “hero” means, used to calling it “bl” or “tw” (bloodlust/timewarp).
Tell alliance player BL, BL NAU… "Ok… " TW works often better because of both factions having same spell name.
Also on my hero-characters I tend to ignore other peoples call outs as veteran player and dungeon dweller, I likely know which boss is best done with hero. This 1st boss of that dungeon might not be best, but 2nd one can be notably easier and quicker with it.
And other times I have just forgot. Yelling at me doesn’t help because I do not read chat all-the-time. especially when I am busy trying to be good guy dps and win meters and do mechanics.
As someone who was a brand new player playing a mage many years ago, people would always get unnecessarily mad at me if I popped TW at the “incorrect” time.
So I just learned to not press it unless I was told / I had confidence in that specific fight.
These days its not so much an issue for me, but I’ve played this game to close for a decade.
I’d imagine newer players still have that “anxiety”.
It’s the same reason why tanks are in such short supply, yet they’re always berated and insulted if they do anything wrong.
As a mage, I never do TW when a random person yells out for it. In LFR’s I use it when we need it. In regular raids when the Raidleader calls out for it. But never when a random person wants to.
As a heroism carrier you have to learn when to do it… And do it.
Most people are just afraid to mess up.
Unless given special instructions you should just use heroism at your discretion (smartly).
I find they either use it every time they can and at the start of fights or they don’t seem to know they have it.
Communication sometimes helps, if it’s someone who understand they can do TW/Lust or Hero/Hunter pet then you can tell them when you want it. Sometimes you can spam chat and no one uses it
because people buy boosts, level too fast ect. , and when they reach max level, have no clue how their class work.
They meant this;
This is the exact reason why i dont pop my haste spell and always ask
They don’t use it so I get the pleasure of sarcasming that we’re clearly saving it for the fifth boss of the four boss dungeon we’re running.
It is fortified this week, so we bloodlust mostly on packs.
Communication is key.
As already stated, talk about it before you start (the dungeon/raid boss) and wait for a response indicating they actually understood what you meant. Esp with the 20 different routes per dungeon and affix combinations, this won’t hurt in any case.
During a bossfight I barely read the chat, and I can imagine that esp newer players (or new to the class) are more focussed on everythinf but the chat. So that is nice as a reminder, but if you reach that point…meh, lost case already.
Whenever i play on my Mage or Shaman and there’s a boss pull coming, before i can even press the button, some hunter used their pet or someone used a scroll.
I want to, but i don’t even get the chance to push.
Oh, also sometimes it’s on CD
Always frustrates me when some groups still have ingrained in their minds that BL is for bosses. On a week like this with fortified and bolstering pulling an extra pack and BLing it saves so much time compared to using it on a boss that’s gonna fall over rather quickly anyway.
some people don’t place all the useful spells on their bars, particularly if it’s not in the rotation ( hero, interrupts, several uilities etc)
well that’s a new level XD
