Compared to the alliance, it kinda seems like every Horde race bar the elves & gobs live in turd holes.
Tauren live in tents and wooden longhouses.
Trolls live in tents and wooden poledwellings with strawthatched roofs.
Unless you mean the Zandalari who definitly do not live in huts, but in large meso american adobes, wooden houses or giant stone pyramids.
Orcs live in dwellings made of wood, brick, hide and sometimes even iron.
The Forsaken live in houses made of wood, brick and tiled roofs.
So wich one is the turdhole?
tbh, just because they’re not penthouses doesn’t mean they’re turdholes…
sometimes, simple is more.
Ask Thrall. Srsly. That idiot never got the concept of living-space for an actual extended amount of time since he was always on the run, ever since escaping Durnholde keep.
The answer is in the name. Hordes live in messy tents.
People usually say they play Horde because if X reason they would play Alliance.
That has never been more true in vanilla.
We had:
- Orcs;
- Trolls;
- Tauren;
- Forsaken;
Blood Elves ?
Added in TBC.
Goblins ?
Added in Cataclysm.
You are looking to a game that had so many expansions, that by now the Horde is far from what it used to be.
Aesthetics were 180 degrees different from each faction, back in the day.
Example:
- Alliance civilized culture, Horde tribalistic culture.
- Small races in the Alliance (Gnome), giant races on the Horde (Tauren).
- Alliance human aesthetics, Horde monstrous aesthetics.
- Alliance had the only playable Elves in the game (Night Elves)
If we look at today, the Alliance kept her aesthetics.
There’s not a single tribalistic race in the Alliance.
The one that drastically changed, was the Horde.
Cheers.
By your standards Zandalari count as more civilised too, Troll or not. We are clearly not living in mud huts or tents and know how to write and read, and growing crops and stuff.
I certainly feel not even a hint of tribalism with those trolls.
Times change.
When the Zandalari arrived, this is what was already in the Horde:
- Blood Elves.
- Goblins.
- Pandaren.
- Nightborne.
So as you can see, plenty of room for the epitome of the Troll race.
Cheers.
Goblins don’t really have a home, it’s just gallywix palace and a harbour.
Blood Elves/Nightborne would be probably against smelling trolls in their pretty cities.
Pandaren live in Orgrimmar already.
That is, by no means, a positive thing. That city(and Stormwind too I think) are in dire need of a revamp.
At least we don’t have Elves squatting around in Thunder Bluff.
I heard Lor’themar is moving in with his harem.
In orcish culture struggling is life.
Hunting for food or starve.
Work hard, train for war, teach kids from early age that the world doesnt own them anything and everything must be claimed by your own blood, sweat and tears.
This is shown in there buidlings.
Hard, strong, minilistic.
Luxery just makes you soft.
The darkspear only recently got there home back and lack the resourses to rebuild.
Add to this that they have a very islander mindset.
So they spend more time on the beach, having parties and doing potions then accauly building.
After all why would they.
It is sunny 90% of the time and life is there to be enjoyed.
The taurens believe in living close with the earthmother.
Given what they take from nature back to her.
Meaning they have a culture that encourge’s living humble.
Forsaken dont need to eat, sleep, drink or mate.
They have alot of spare time on there hand and alot of haterd to channel into weapons off mass destruction.
There pretty much a race of workaholic’s who will spend very little time living and alot of time working.
This is shown in there buildings.
They will use whatever ruin they can get and turn it into a lab, weapons factory, etc.
That isnt to say there arent forsaken who enjoy the finner things in life.
But the majority care’s more for effecent creation of new plague’s and undead then to accauly build stuff.
The blood elves are stuck in time but what you can see of there buildings is that they do value beauty and there buildings show an elegant elven design.
They are also isolationists and rarely move outside of Quel’Thalas.
This is why you see very few blood elven buildings.
Unless blood elves have a reason to settle somewhere they just use tents for there militery forces (which are still more elegant then any horde building)
Same goes for the nightborne.
If it isnt Suramar or one of there settlement they dont care.
Goblins are too busy earning money to enjoy spending it execpt those on the top.
See: Galiwix palace.
And high mountain taurens have there own lands to live in and share the same tauren ideals as the mulgore cousin.
Give back to the earthmother what you take from her.
Curious how all elven faction’s are isolationists.
I wonder if that is genetic.
Hey so what was that thing about Sylvanas burning down Thunder Bluff? Is that still happening?

Funny enough the Darkspears got the only actual good spot in the entire region.

That is BS Propaganda from Thrall. Read chronicles the second issue. Orcs were by no means anti good life.

It’s a usual trope. Usually the Elf race of [Insert Any Fantasy World Here If It Has Elves] are the isolationist supremacists that have perfected their art.
Do tell me about the elves from The Elder Scrolls who want to conquer the world.
WoW’s history only spans about 10 ingame years. 15 years ago, most of the mudhut races were barely civilized, often nomadic tribes with constant warfare. And tech reaches the military first and the populous last. So why would we expect these races to live a “more civilized” lifestyle, after such a short time?

Do tell me about the elves from The Elder Scrolls who want to conquer the world.
Small subsection of religiues nob jobs in charge of the dominion.
Drow are a better example.
Sometimes you forget World of Warcraft happens in like 6-7 years. Jesus this world needs a break. Maybe a 2-3 years timeskip for 9.0 would be preferable.
