Pushing your key is the only way to do M+ for half the classes in the game, especially during weeks where 4-5 classes can’t even contribute to affixes in any way, so why do I keep getting the same keys over and over when I’m trying to do my own?
This doesn’t matter for people just farming for crests etc, but trying to increase your score or hunt for specific dungeons is damn near impossible in a reasonable timeframe unless RNG favors you or you’re playing 30 hours a week. Why do I have to do 3 FHs and 5 NLs just to get to do 1 VP?
This warrior for example, I couldn’t get an inv to literally anything over 12 the last 2 weeks with afflicted/incorporeal, and rightly so because if the lead is also a class that can’t deal with them, you’re gimping yourself by taking a warrior with you. We can technically deal with incorpo but it’s a laughable 3 min cd so basically nothing.
Garbage affix design + pug mentality + busted seasonal meta = waiting for invites for hours of farming your own keys, which can then result in cycling of the same keys over and over.
There are 8 dungeons, you cannot get the one you have already, so that gives you a 1/7 chance or about 14% chance to get each dungeon.
Let’s assume that you have completed 4 and would like to do the other 3, that means you are 56% likely to get a dungeon you’ve already done and 42%(both rounded) chance to get one you need.
The odds are quite evidently against you. My advice to everybody who wants to do keys is to do them early, clear them all out on 20 during the first or second week and then you’ll never have an issue getting into keys, regardless of class.
Sure they are harder in the first week but not particularly impossible.
