I don’t think so. I don’t feel as this is needed. More dmg you will have from proper trinkets , cd-es distribution then from single stat or gem.
Ones you get to the diffculty of mythic, it’s a given that you have propper CD usage, and yes, that is the best way for most people to increase their DPS. But that doesn’t change the fact, that at that level you must sim, certainly, you can chose not to, but if you do, at that point you’re relying on other people to cover for you and you’re just getting boosted.
And for your trinket point, tell me… how do you know which trinkets to use? No doubt you went to a site to check, maybe even checked what the top players were using… wonder how they got the information that X trinket was better than Y trinket, it’s certainly not from in game as it is impossible to figure it out from there. So where did they get that information from i wonder? Wanna take a guess ?
While your feelcraft aproach is fine for LFR and Normal, and even a good chunk of HC, if you want to go above that level, you have to sim, there is no way around it (Well, other than getting boosted, but let’s not count that)

Or, just add crit, haste, mastery to ever single pve item, make versatility a pure pvp stat on pvp gear only and problem solved. But blizzard loves reinventing the wheel and complicating crap for themselves and their player base.
Just look at trinkets, they were never this complicated:
Back then: primary stat or secondary stat, on use effect increases one of them or does some sort of damage, the end.
Now: Embark on an adventure increasing your crit by 342 for 45 seconds while juggling 5 torches and eating a sandwich. The more sandwiches you eat divided by the number of players in raid, will increase the duration of the effect depending on how many kids you have and your dancing skills.
I mean really, you want me to chase after 4 dancers to increase my haste!?
