I pugged and cleared Naxx in Wrath Classic after they insisted I had to have this specific trinket, I was shocked how easy it was to clear the content. It’s not how I remember it at all but it’s a long time ago.
In TBC I actually gave up when doing dungeons became a nightmare applying on a non meta class.
I don’t have to be grouped to chat to other people around me.
Each to their own, I’ve seldom experienced that on Retail, whilst Classic (and now on SoD) I see all the same faces, all the time. Whilst the instant tagging aspect I find to be a negative, one hit and I will just afk till the mobs dead, no need to contribute, my work is done.
Does feel like we’ve played two entirely different games and I mean no offense by that, just your experience on Retail seems so far from anything I’ve experienced in at least the past five years.
Hell, part of my motivation to actually do the ‘fun’ things in Retail are nil because what I am doing it for? It’s not like I’ve got a buddy to go ‘hey, look at this cool thing!’
The level at which you play at can also be a huge factor, the lack of personability in my view comes from how disposable people view others as and I see it as much in classic as I do retail.
I play retail because I already played WoW on launch and through the expansions. I don’t want to ruin all those good memories with a fake knockoff version of the classic experience, which is no where near the original
